Why on earth do you want to risk it when you can do remedies in water
which has so much flexibility for adjusting for sensitivity and if an
aggravation does occur it is short lasting.

And one of the major lasting harms that occur are people who leave
homeopathy never to return after an aggravation. The do NOT have to
happen and do not have to be long lasting when an aggravation with
water potencies, as they often are with dry remedies.

And how can you disregard what Hahnemann said. And even Kent.

I think many homeopaths who do routinely prescribed or frequently
prescribed same potency dry doses are in denial, similar to
pediatricians in denial about vaccine reactions.

Sheri - I have to wonder at your prescribing if you have so many aggravations and negative outcomes!! What college did you train at?

You're specializing in a difficult population, and one which I'm guessing most of us do not work with many of (or am I mistaken in that?). Perhaps that's part of the reason that you see these problems as being so common, whereas others see them as being so uncommon.

I don't think any of us dispute that aggravations can happen--regardless of the potency scale used.
I'm sure none of us would disagree that it's better if they *don't* happen.

There are (it seems to me) reasonable guidelines to alert us to those patients where aggravation is more likely to be a occur, and particularly, those patients for whom aggravation should particularly be avoided if at all possible. When I am treating someone in either of those categories (which in my very small practice is pretty much just one person, and she only sometimes), I take particular precautions, sometimes use of LMs, or sometimes by beginning with low c in water.

I think it's very valuable and important for us to be aware of what might go wrong (small or large), and what steps we might take to avoid those problems, and also to manage them *if* they should arise. I think that an understanding of water potencies and LMs is valuable.

But that's a very different thing from believing that *all* of our patients should be treated by this method, even if they prefer not, and despite issues of cost (very real for some of us) or other.

It's also a very different thing from saying that anyone who isn't seeing problems with the method is "in denial." I don't know just how you practiced, before learning 5th and 6th ed., or how you and your mother were being treated. Perhaps low potency doses (even dry) would have solved the problems? Or perhaps the three of you are simply among those who *should* be treated with LMs, for best effect.

But again, it's a far different thing from saying that *everyone* should be treated with LM...
