some opinions that we don't know the correct ratio of A & D
some opinions Cod Liver Oil is just fine (although there is the mercury issue with that as well as decreasing supplies of cod)
some opinions that too much A interferes with D.

I checked with my supplier many months ago and they assured me that there is no mercury in the CLO I buy. You gotta believe someone… On the issue of proportions of A and D, I will for sure go with Weston A Price Foundation’s information where they are not selling anything, just promoting eating the way we used to for millennia—well ever since fire was tamed and farming was invented. A genuine supplier will furnish the analysis specs for the batch you
have. If they refuse or play difficult , toss the CLO that you bought.
