The daughter of my half brother has contacted me. Recently has been treated
for ptsd and schizophrenic epidsode after coming home and finding her
boyfriend in bed with another girl(she is 21). She tore the place apart in a
rather violent manner and was taken away by authorities and put in some kind
of tx center. He had been unfaithful before.Personally, I thought this was a
perfectly appropriate response. I would hope i would have done the same thing.
she is on abilify. However, i think this was so disconnected from her normal
non-confrontative state that it caused a disassociation. She is having
archetypal nightmares as in lion with eagle's head and body part snake. She
saw objectively the situation(eagle). She responded with wild feminine
instinct and brought herself into a position of being completely overwhelmed
by these impersonal/ instinctive forces and so now she needs to reintegrate
herself in some whole new way. Or does she just need some arnica? I found
this doug brown(homeopath) in her hometown...anyone heard of him?

I've never met this niece. She knows nothing about my interests but had told
her dad she wanted to contact me.

I don't want to become a bore about the subject - but this does, again, seem rather a lot of intimate information being revealed about someone who lives in quite a small community. Am I alone in finding it a bit embarrassing?

Dear Theresa,
The detail is embarrassing to listen to if you take the position of the suffering person, which is I believe the position that a homeopath should take. The amount of detail seems far beyond what is needed for a recommendation. Probably the detail should have been dissociated with the practical need. The detail is interesting, but needs to be discussed in a different context.

Embarrassing was probably the wrong word - I was assuming (perhaps wrongly) that it was without permission and doing a bit of empathising! Anyway, enough said.
