Dear Anita,

here is my reading of this case of which 2 or 3 remedies came to mind.

Hair, falling in spots + in patches (Kent)
Fear of evil (Synthetic)
Fear that something will happen (Synthetic)
Haunted by unpleasant thoughts (Synthetic)
Ailments from fright (Synthetic)
Obstinate
Obstinate children who annoy many around them (Synthetic)
Nose, discharge, clear, runs out
Thirst
Chilly

The 3 remedies are Graphites, Silicea and Psorinum which have quite a few sx
in common.
From Phatak - Psorinum:-

Anxiety, foreboding, despair of recovery, horrid thoughts, feels he will be
a failure. Severe ailments from the slightest emotion. Persistent thoughts.
Dull, clouded, difficult thinking. Inability to rid himself of ideas which
first appeared to him in a dream (Clarke). Restless. Recurring colds,
persistent runny nose. Loss of appetite but constant thirst (Clarke).

From Agrawal MM of the Mind - Graphites:-

Anguish and despair
Persistent thoughts
Fear of evil
Fear that something will happen
Easily frightened
Ailments from fright
+ Phatak - thirst for hot drinks
But Graphites is usually plump and I would not say they were obstinate, but
they do have a childish nature to them regardless of their age and can be
impudent.

Also Silicea shares some of these sx.
Ailments from fright and easily frightened
Persistent thoughts
Baldness in patches
Delusion everything will fail
Obstinate
Chilly
Persistent colds
Thirst for ice water
Silicea has TWO trains of thought (coming from the delusion that the body is
divided) - the positive and the negative in this case?
Silicea likes to please and he is promising his heart - so I think I would
have to choose Silicea out of these 3 remedies.

After looking at so many rubrics and to find only one remedy is real
difficult.Then what to do in such one-sided disease.
Dr. Hahnemann has mentioned, in book of organon that in such
cases one has to give importance to unmodified original picture of a
person,impotance also has to be given to physical general symptoms of a
person. ONE SIDED DISEASE

- schizophrenia, Obsessive Compulsive disorders, Manic Depression

- Tinea, Diarrhoea , ancient cardialgia

The only disease that seem to have but few symptoms , and on that
account to be less amenable to cure, are those which may be termed as
onesided diseases……..

w The one sided diseases appear to be more difficult to cure in consequence
of this one-sidedness, all their other morbid symptoms disappearing , as it
were, before the single great prominent symptom.

w Of this character are what are termed as "MENTAL DISEASES"

trace an accurate picture of the disease, in order to be able therefrom to
treat it Homoeopathically with success.
What exactly is the meaning of Disposition…1.It is The dominant quality or
qualities distinguishing a person or attitude towards
life around.
2.Tendency of something to act in certain
manner under given circumstances
3.Temperamental makeup.
This is nothing but basic inherent nature of the person..
This is Treat Man in Disease not Disease in Man.So when we take a feeling of
a person we treat him partially, one has to give importance to basic nature
of a person.Whan we ask a person how he feels that situation,we get diseased
symptoms example:alone, deserted, neglected…..,This feelings can change in
every different situation.But when we ask a person how he reacted to a
situation? We get his basic nature i.e. undiseased state Man.
Example,mildness,timidity,Defiant,courageous.This is innate in a person,a
involuntary reaction to a situation,That is a basic nature.
Even Dr.Kent and Bonneinhausen have included this undiseased
nature in there repertory.
So, in this case I took his basic nature to find the similimum.The
remedy, which we will prescribe, will also cover his diseased state.

Case Analysis

Taking his basic nature I derived at group of remedies.later on I combined
with another important rubric and finally one constutional remedy was found
out.

Cal-carb 10M I Dose was prescribed.rubrics taken were;As the case is
psorosycotic miam…only funtional change had taken place.

After the remedy, not only patient was better, but his alopecia aerata which
was suppressed reappear.he developed skin eruption which later subsided of
its own according to Dr. Vijaykar's chart of suppression this case lies in
5th layer i.e.Impariment of neuro-endocrine system, but after right genetic
constitutional similimum his toxins descended down to 3rd layer i.e.
mesoderm layer[alopecia aerata] to 1st layer i.e. ectoderm[skin eruption]
and finally to permanent health.
In a follow-up patient say I feel funny about the behaviour, which
previously I use to do. I am not a child any more.His perfomance in a school
imroved to 85%.

Conclusion
w One-sided disease - importance has to be given to original unmodified
picture of the patient.
w Herring's law comes true in every case if you take basic nature with its
innate qualities.
