I like the phrase that "Without tolerance, true skepticism is impossible". So true! Unless one actually *considers* the alternative, it's not skepticism, but just a priori denial...
But as to (my thought about) why Teresa found it offensive... By asserting that it's "cognitive deficets", or Aspberger's, well... ? John, not sure if you're being tongue-in-cheek, or ? As usual, tho, you've raised some good points.
