I would definitely add Arsenicum, has urticaria, very very chilly as you know so further cold <<< and as they walk in the cold the blood circulation causes localised burnings and wheals to emerge on the skin + Boericke lists Antipyrinum - 'urticaria with internal coldness' + think about Rhus tox; Causticum; Sepia; Nit-ac and on looking in CD there is also Kali brom; Nat sulph; Rumex and Sulphur.

Dear Joy & Shannon
Thank you for your comments.
What happens with this person is that if any part becomes cold it will go red and itchy.
It will also come up - so you have a raised eruption - about 1 mm high.
His other symptoms improve by heat. For example, headache is much better for standing under a hot shower.
Often when he has a headache, his forehead goes cold.
Soroush

Right, so to be correct it is not the cold air that aggravates but actually causes it - this is very specific.
Urticaria during chill = Apis; Ars; Chlol; Cop: Ign: Nat mur; Rhus tox; Sulphur + 'after chill' = Elat; Hepar + on 'becoming cold' = Ars; Calc; Calc phos; Chlol; Dulc; Rhus tox; Rhus ven; Rumex; Sepia; Sulph; Thuja.
Hopefully using near specific rubrics give you the rx rather than having to wade through A/F becoming cold
Why Agaricus isn't there I really don't know!
Forehead cold during H/A probably doesn't help either - ars-s-f; cedr; cimic; Cinnb.

The forehead one is a nice SRP, tho rubric possibly too small to be useful?
Head; COLDNESS, CHILLINESS; FOREHEAD; Headache, during (EXTERNAL; HEADACHE; During)(m, 4, 0) (4) : ars-s-f., cedr., cimic., Cinnb.
I don't find any of these remedies in any of the rubrics I gathered, except that Ars-s-f is also in
Skin, Coldness"--awfully general... If it were me, I'd look at the four in the small rubric and see if they seem to suit the overall case; other than that, I think you're back to taking the whole case--at least that's all I would know to do. Ars is prominent in the cold / nettle rash rubrics, which maybe lends a tad more credence to Ars-s-f--if it seems to suit the overall case.

Ah, so "chill" can mean "becoming cold", not just the chilly stage of a fever?

It would seem so - if you look at Copaiva for example which actually has urticaria during fever (as opposed to chill) as well as chronic urticaria it has the modality of A/f cold as well as << cold. Same with Ignatia, urticaria during fever but the skin is exceptionally sensitive to becoming cold = urticaria.
You have to study the rx for confirmation.

Sepia and Rhus-tox get urticaria when they get cold. Chlolarum is another remedy I have found quite useful in urticaria worse getting cold.
Best regards

Hi, Joy --
From what you're saying here (though I don't know what you mean by "A/f"; evidently not "aggravated by"), I gather that you're taking "fever" to encompass "chill"; is that so? Careful checking confirmed for me that "fever" in the repertory and materia medica means only the heat stage(s) of any fever pattern (though that stage may be mixed with others, such that a patient can experience chilliness or perspiration during a hot stage), and that "chill" doesn't encompass mere chilliness or becoming cold but is related only to the chill in a fever pattern. For that reason, I'd be excluding the rubric referring to chill. But you found plenty else to go on with!
Shannon, the trouble with discussion of a single interesting symptom or two is that it can appear to represent an attempt to base a homoeopathic prescription entirely on that. Some contributors to this list do appear to do just that, often justifying the lack of proper case-taking by use of the claim of a "one-sided" illness; but I think it's safe to assume that Soroush will already have taken a complete case, and is simply rounding out his repertorisation as accurately as he might. The value of "SRP" symptoms is that they can quickly guide one's exploration -- never one's prescription.
Cheers --
John
