Sorry my message just went while I was typing it. Speaking of Dysentry if I were to arrange the remedies in order of importance (Where I practice the dysentry is usually either bacterial or amoebic. these medicines do not apply to Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis)
1. Colchicum - almost 80 percent cases
2. Merc-cor - about 10 percent cases
3. Capsicum about 3 percent
4. Asclepias Tuberosa around 3 percent
Other medicines such as Phos, Canth, Nux, Merc-sol etc are used in the other cases.
Speaking of asclepias Tuberosa. I have not seen it described properly in any book. It is a wondereful remedy for some cases of arthritis. In a case of arthritis if the pain is in a single joint such as the elbow or more importantly if you see a diagonal pain such as upper right and lower left or upper left and lower right you can use it.

Asclepias tub - not called pleurisy root for nothing Important rx
for flu that << lungs, leads to bronchitis, pleurisy, lots of
catarrhs. Very nervous, restless rx, mood swings. Hydrogenoid so the
rheumatics might be related to this? I think all the asclepias are
catarrhal, allergic foundations possibly. Boericke suggests asclepias
vince for diabetes. The whole family would be worth studying at length.
