They don't talk about the larvae getting into the brain, but the worm getting into the brain and then encysting is one of the known causes for epilepsy. As the article says it's thought the the Jewish laws about abstaining from pork was because of the connection to the worm infection, but that may be people looking back in hindsight and realising that some unexplainable laws and prohibitions did actually make sense. Others that make a lot of sense with our increasing knowledge of candidiasis are some of their living condition laws which revolve around control of mold and fungus infestation.
I wouldn't call the response to Cicuta suppression unless indications of suppression are there, eg not being well in themselves and a movement of symptoms to a deeper state of chronic illness. I don't think trying to get the body to expel the cyst is really a good idea - it can't get past the blood brain barrier, which is how it got in when it was a lot smaller. Can you imagine what movement of the cyst is likely to do?
If you look at cancer cure examples from Ramakrishnan and Hamer, there is often a cyst-like formation left as the end stage of the body handling whatever needed to be handled, so I would theorise that sometimes co-existance with a cyst could be a viable option.
