A number of folks have asked me offlist so here are some brief notes, but you have to remember that every case needs to be individualised so your sister's case has to be also.

One case, a male social worker, totally over worked and even did a lot of voluntary work. Felt it to be his duty. Was wrongly diagnosed with arthritis and when he changed consultant and GP was given this dx. Began in the right hand first then to the left, was on steroids for some time and he was slowly weaned off them. Apis dealt with the crushing pain, inflammation and some swelling involved (quite unusual for this condition to be so painful but that is where individualisation comes in). He was addicted to salt and Nat mur was his chronic rx. Cured within 4 months (taking in the weaning off steroids).

Another case, a woman in her early 20's had been on the pill for some years and sx of DC began and it was seemingly linked to the illness. Coming off it made no change in her sx though but Calc carb, few doses cured.

Another case, woman had this in both hands, even had surgery on them, intense pain after surgery. Given Staph initially but Kalmia cured. I tend to think this case was made <<< by the surgery which was probably unnecessary.

Case where a middle age man, alcoholic, only came to me because he was having trouble holding his drinking glasses! (even he had the character to laugh about this at the time). Incredible journey for him, took months of gentle treatment, mainly with Nux vomica to help deal with the acute phases of drinking and also his chronic rx which cured, which was Hellebore. I did give a couple of other rx during this time but they did nothing.

I can only mention these as I have permission to do so.

The other disease mentioned was Peyronie. I can only say one case of this which was Nitric acid (not the presenting complaint though) but I can think of other cases that might well have been diagnosed with this if they had gone the allopathic route. I don't have permission just yet to write about these.

All were cases where LM's were used

Hope useful, Joy
