drainage

I haven’t got a clue what homeopathic “drainage” (a French word) specifically is, but it was used on me for a year in 1997-8 by a pediatric surgeon turned classical (in her terms) homeopath from Luxembourg. At the end of the year, I had a rash come out all over my hands and feet. It lasted about 3 weeks on my hands and left in the order in which it had begun. Same on my feet, except that one spot on my toe stayed kind of cracked (open I think) for about 6 months.
That was 10 years ago and the recurrent sinus infections I had had for years have never returned. In addition, the pre-cancerous cervix I never even mentioned to the practitioner (I was apparently nearing the point of having to have surgery, but I thought that did not interest her) stopped being pre-cancerous. I kept having the prescribed PAP smears but they have all been negative. They had been getting worse and worse for years before her treatment. I am sure from the “protocol” she used that she was practicing “drainage”. Teresa (Northern VA)

What are you "draining?" Someone explain drainage to me. It is a term that has been bandied around a lot without any real explanation about the process.
Now hahnemann had a lot say about drainage and the negative effects of such methods. Check as an example aph 59:
