spreading the word about homeopathy to other health care professionals - was: US-urgent action alert

Shannon, I agree!!!!! I write continuing education courses for chiropractors, therapists, etc. What I have found most effective is to give them a few simple tools and let them have a few spectacular results – it seems to lead to that ‘ah ha’ moment and they turn into avid homeopathy supporters if not students. At the very least – it gives them new appreciation for the possibilities of working WITH a homeopath in their practice. I did a series of seminars/online courses on acute care and recently turned them into a series of books (Sciatica, Back Injuries, Muscle Injuries, Knee Injuries). They have been very well received and I’m already getting feedback from several ‘sport team’ and ‘eldercare’ physical therapists who have integrated a little acute homeopathy into their practice and seeing such wonderful results – are looking for ways to study homeopathy.

Fact is, the MDs are at the top of the *legal* heap; also most are very sincere people who *want to help their patients*. Medical knowledge can be a huge asset to health management--it just needs to be understood and app lied in a useful way. Getting homeopathy training to some greater number of appropriate and interested MDs could make a huge difference, especially if they are integrated into the homeopathic community--e.g. to take and pass the same certification exams as the rest of us--and if the level of public education is enhanced, so that more and more people are *aware* of the range of different methods which may be called homeopathy, and aware of the possibilities of chronic / "constitutional" homeopathic treatment, as distinct from acute care and palliative. (I'm thinking of the naturapath I'd been seeing, who was completely unaware of all of that!)

with all due respect for NCH they don't seem to keep the interest of lay homeopath in the center of their concern. not many things can be more detremental for the states with health freedom act as making homepathy available through the mainstream heathcare providers. general public does not differentiate b/w someone who has spent years to learn it and a doctor who attended a weekend seminar. as long as doctors are getting on the quack watch for using homeopathy in their practice everyone is better off.
