My roommate has diabetes one. Twenty years ago her homeopath(same as mine)
prescribed lm lyc single dose and 3x syzygium(twice a day-there is enough in
packet for about ten days). She was afraid to take either and never did but
still has the remedies. She is interested now in taking the syzgium. The
homeopath is dead and gone so can't ask him.

So i guess the question is...how would you know if there is a difference? She
would continue taking her insulin, of course...but how would a person know if
it was working. What are the possibilities? She doesn't know what to expect.
She said she takes a test every six months to see how overall the blood sugar
is doing.

Also..does anyone have any ideas for this syzy and being pre-diabetic...or
does it only work on diabetus mellitus?

The Lycopodium was probably prescribed as a constitutional remedy and may not be the one she needs now. I personally would doubt that Syzygium 3x for 10 days would make the slightest difference to Diabetes Type 1. She would only know if it did by her usual daily blood testing routine and if she found that she needed to decrease the amount of Insulin she takes.
Diabetes 2 or prediabetes responds well to a low carb/low GI diet and regular exercise routine. A well prescribed constitutional remedy may also help to low the blood sugar or even normalise it.

Well trust me, I'm going to take issue with that This rx if it is simillimum to the case could indeed have a huge difference. Someone needs to take the full case to assess correctly.

Exactly Joy - we don't know if it is the simillimum or not and therefore she should not take a remedy that was prescribed but not taken so many years ago!!

She could get it in a low potency, maybe 6c or 12c, and see whether she responds? Carol could help her assess any less-than-obvious changes, and if any uncertainty she can just stop...

Are we taking about the Lycopodium or the Syzygium here Shannon?

Use of Szyg. I am not so familiar with, so have no opinion.

If she repeated even a low dose of the simillimum too often it might not be a good idea. A test dose?
