Please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm still a student,
but I thought embryologically the order was endoderm
(being the innermost layer), the mesoderm was the
middle layer and the outermost (most superficial)
layer was the ectoderm.
I would have thought that where lameness in the knee
was replaced by bronchitis, it would indicate that the
case was moving in the wrong direction and becoming
more serious. Lameness in the knee involves bone &
cartilage which is derived from the mesoderm, and
bronchitis affects the epithelium of the respiratory
tract which is evolved from the endoderm. So isn't
that an inward progression, which is the opposite of
Hering's Law(Rule) of Direction of Cure?

Sue Collinson
