I really don't know what to say about this amazing perfect single gentleman. He is very spiritual, very into astrology, the kabala and even medium ship. Really this is a Lanthanide case and I am going to have to work out which one!!I am thinking Europium at the moment because he has to analyse everything and test things out and he needs to see the proof of everything.
He is early 60's but looks and acts older. He has a cough- dry and short . 1 short cough now and again < thinking about it < going into the cold.
Despite reacting very badly to antibiotics for the M A so he couldn't continue with them he is on lots of other drugs:-
Itriconazole for the Aspergillis antibodies found on blood testing in 2007
and Symbicort inhalers, Salbutamol and Spiriva inhaler which is a new one to me.
He was also treated empirically (what does this mean?) for TB in 05-06 and again reacted to the drugs.
As well as this chest stuff he has had psoriasis for 40 years which went away with a course of 10 PUVA (light) treatments this year - but it is coming back and he is going to start another course!!
I mean where do I start!!
Symptoms
Some days he coughs up very easily masses of stuff which is brown but also can be green going onto white. Also are these 3/4 inch length of stuff that looks like pink uncooked bacon. Sometimes the expectorate is very thick and other times watery. Once this has happened he goes for a few days without coughing anything up. Again some days he has no ill effects from this condition and other days he can't walk up 3 stairs without having to see down and catch his breath. Again sometimes when he coughs up he gets a burning sensation in his throat.
Strange is when he goes to France - I think he does some joinery stuff there he reckons he doesn't get any symptoms.
He also has 2 hernias on either side on the bottom of his stomach and when they come out - maybe when he is in the bath it is very painful and he massages them back in.
He worked with asbestos in the late 60's but as he is a joiner by trade he blames the timber dust as well. He stopped smoking 15 years ago.
Food - never had a good appetite- temperature, fears etc - nothing. He reckons he is selfish, likes to do his own thing and won't mix with people he doesn't like.
The only strange thing was that I kept on having to stifle me yawning when he was with me and I don't know why. I don't know what this means. He was really interesting and I was trying to hang onto every word.
My rep comes out as Phos first and Ars second but he is neither of these. If fact none of the first 10 remedies suit him.

When you note he was a joiner, I am assuming he was a wood worker. That being so, if he was dealing with woods
with high oil content such as teak and other exotic woods, then he very well was affected in the lungs. These oils,
captured in the fine dust of indoor shops, cause a high incidence of lung conditions. They are toxic!!!
And where did he pick up Aspirgillis? This is a mold.
He does not sound that 'perfect' to me--more like a very compromised immune system with a distinct weaknes in the lungs.
When did all this start? Was the psoriasis there first, or were there lung problems first? It's like untangling a ball of knotted yarn.

Dear Tanya,
By perfect gentleman I mean it in the English term. He won't watch TV because he doesn't like what he sees on it and can't abide bad language or rudeness.
He did work with wood. The psoriasis was first - for 40 years.
The Aspergillis can be picked up from anywhere by compromised immune systems I expect. Oh he has had the flu jab and the swine flu jab with no ill effects!!
He was always fit with a tireless energy. The lung stuff started in 05 but he had whooping cough with pneumonia when he was a child. He also had a thyroglossal cyst removal when he was 12.

Thanks for the english lesson. Colloquialisms can be tricky.
Mold can take down the immune system as well as be the result of a weakened one. And you live in
a damp/humid climate generally which support s mold.
And so he is very proper with high sensibilities to offense. It's like he is socially very fastidious.
Was he still doing woodworking when he developed the lung conditions?
And are the inhalers for the MA?

I don't mind sending some ideas about this but why have you decided that this is a lanth before hand? Are you not a little too pre-occupied with them?

Dear Tanya,
Yes he was and still is doing woodwork projects.
I have a Rx I have never used called M.A.P. which if I remember was for Aspergillis. The only trouble is he doesn't know what his symptoms of this are and therefore if the drug Itraconozole he takes is making any difference!!! The antibodies were found in a blood test in 2007 and the Mycobacterium Avium cultivated in a bronchial washing this year.

I think you have to discuss the levels of suppression going on and the effects of the drugs. Hopefully he is looking for cure here so an eventual reduction and stoppage of all those drugs is a reality to hope for. Try and get to the case before all the drugs that might have changed the sx picture. There is obviously going to be a huge affinity to the lungs with any rx chosen. A number of polycrests such as Ars and Phos will always rep through but even the sx of the expectoration cannot always be taken as true sx, they are changeable anyway (makes me think of several other rx as well such as Puls; Thuja; Kali iod and other kaliums; some of the Mercs; good old Sulph; Allium sativum; Senega; the Natrums if he is isolated and keeping away from society) - so many rx so you need reliable sx. Why Phos though if he is not craving sympathy and the need to be with others?

I think you also need to ascertain whether the 'spiritual' sx are part of the case or not, i.e. are they healthy sx or not or fuse somewhere in between creating polarities maybe. His need for 'proof' is possibly a grounding for that 'out of this world' state. So look outside that and take the theme of him being analytical and develop that in some way, maybe - just ideas to open up the case for further exploration. If he is a spiritual person there will hopefully be dreams to ask about. What goes on in France that makes him feel so much >>, has to be explored - away from home, away from allergens, away from something else?

The thing is is to get reliable and factual sx to work with, as there are a lot of drugs involved, suppression and quite a long history of a diseased state developing you want all the tools to make your choice of rx equally as reliable and this might come from physical or emotional sx, hopefully both but the totality needs to be defined.

Are the hernias from coughing?

Is there still an underlying thyroid issue from the thyroglossal cyst?

Sort of picking up on your feelings about the Lanths, and if the so called spiritual aspects are part of the case and you apply 'analytical', 'questioning', spiritual pull that will possibly crate polarities; non mixing with the world, isolated, some disgust felt about current tv programmes (is that a sx?) and that strange feeling on yourself, the Psoriasis, congestion within the lungs and copious expectoration - I started to think also about Positronium. It is long but worth the read, you might have it already

http://www.hominf.org/posi/posifr.htm

Further than that I think there is more that could be added to make a fuller case so as to make it easier for you to make a rx choice.

Also, out of curiosity, Kent used the rx Aspergillus fumigatus but I have nothing on that rx MM - if anyone else does?

Dear Joy,
Thank you for your thoughts around this case.
I have to admit that I need to phone him today and see if he remembers what the condition was like before the drugs. If I remember correctly he said he had phlegm and blood stained sputum before he was given the antibiotics that he took for only 3 days because he had a bad reaction to them (made him pretty comatose as he had to sleep all the time) He said that the blood stopped after this. Now he just gets a brown expectorate although the bacon looking strips are pink and could be bits of his lung coming away. It is the right lung that is involved, at the top - but this is according to astrology and his time chart.
Not that he said. He sais that they pop out when he gets into the bath - so it must be bending as he is tall.

Not that he mentioned
Things like food , company , consolation, temperature etc were all neither one way or another. I did forget to ask about dreams and agree that these could reveal something that I could rep.
"I am not of this modern age " he said with reference to the young culture, TV, swearing, rudeness. The polarity is "I don't like people who are not tolerant" in nearly the same breath as "I don't like fat people as they abuse their bodies" . He doesn't argue because "It causes more trouble to yourself than others". "I don't want to mix with people I don't like." "I don't want a lifestyle that is futile". Re marriage "Married people are controlled- they may as well top themselves"
Such an interesting character to listen to!!
I will re read the Positronium thanks.

Mmmm - he definitely has Kali issues. I don't usually absorb the energy of others that is why I found it so strange.
Am not sure about the Tub angle as "Empirical treatment" appears to mean that he was treated for Tub because of the signs and it is what they do but it was not scientifically proved that he had/has Tub.
I think I am going for Europium silicata having worked on the case most of yesterday. This covers most of the issues.

Hey that's funny - I was replying to Carol's post on black clothes, not even connecting your Gentleman's case beyond the yawning.
