Also.."(The urine passed in a double stream)" under Rhus Tox in Materia Medica
Pura. I'm not sure why it is in parenthesises..its only an undistinquished "2"
in boeinghausen method. Other things are in parenthesis in MMP and they have a
high status. But i find it interesting that in the list of symptoms under
divided stream...this was the only remedy where it is even mentioned in MMp.
Tho, under cannabis in MMP it says, "Stream of urine spread out".
Under Prunus Spinosa in the other MM...by boenninghausen, not the one by
Boger(I lost the cover on it so don't really know what the title is)it says
"micturition in two streams, as if urethra had two openings" .
In that book, under cannibis sativa, it says "micturition in split stream" in
italics...( Why italics when not emphasized in MMP?) Under Thuya in the
untitled mm..it says "stream small and split" but that is in regards to other
symptoms which mimic gonorrhea. Cantharis in same book in italics,
"micturition in a thin, divided stream and difficult, worse at 9AM". Same
book, Petroleum..."divided stream' (but must have burning pain with it and
tearing in glans). Rhus tox, in that book, same thing...Micturition in a
double stream...in parenthesis??? I find nothing in any of the old books
about mercury and a forked stream or divided stream...I wish I had not lost
the therapeutic pocket book(its a tiny book).

I think it is good to discuss rx in a rubric, that way you get to have a good understanding of the situation.
Petroleum is in that rubric and this rx has a sense of duality, thinks he is double

))
But more seriously this rx has a lot of catarrh, affinity to the genitals and inflamed/swollen prostate.
The 'complete dynamics' lists 18 rx so it would be easy to quote all of them for interest to all.

Found this answer to someone's question about split stream:
"there are many reasons why you are noticing two streams of urine, so it might
be helpful start by ruling-out two rare, but possible, causes. Both are known
as congenital abnormalities, otherwise known as birth defects.
In one possible case, a passage developed between your urethra (tube that
carries urine from bladder to opening at then end of penile shaft) and the
penile skin. This birth defect is called congenital urethral fistula. And,
during urination, two streams of urine can be seen—one stream comes from the
urethral opening, and the other comes from the abnormal passage between the
urethra and penile skin (this is called the fistula). Another possibility is
that you have a birth defect known as urethral duplication. Men with this
condition may have two urethras, with one or two openings (for outflow of
urine), or two urethras with one joined opening. Men with two openings may
notice two streams of urine and it's common for one opening to become infected
and clogged, requiring medical attention."

I wonder if "overuse" of petroleum products in the area could contribute to
the double everything. Like sometimes i go to the bathroom, and sometimes my
double won't let me go.

Soroush,
Presumably he has no evidence of urinary tract infection, nonetheless if he's agreeable, it might be useful to get him to pee into a jar and let the urine settle to see if there's any gravelly sediment or turbid, thready, cloudiness... There are loads of useful rubrics regarding sandy gravel, pellicles (greasy on the surface), mucous, colour etc and also for the smell of the urine - ammoniacal, sour, pungent etc.
Chris.
