a cat

Hi,
Wondering if anyone can help me? I am treating a very sweet cat at the moment. He is an orange stripey tabby with extremely thick fur and big eyes. He is a very anxious cat and hides away when strangers come to his house. He is predisposed to bladder crystals (struvite) which blocks him from urinating until they are removed from the vet. He is on a raw food diet (specialised canned food only contributes to his stone formation). He has recently suffered from stomach ulcers and vomiting from this. Calc-carb has helped him respond fairly well but his mother/owner is very worried about his future bladder stone problems. Does anyone have any experience with cats and this area? His urine is constantly alkaline despite his high protein diet.
- His appetite is ok.
- His bones have never fused properly (saved from a shelter) - doesn't jump much.
- Likes to be cuddled and combed
- is very quiet
- very nervous and fearful, very anxious
- placcid cat - not active
looks up to the other cat he lives with - wants to be with her but she usually rejects him.
- doesn't like going anywhere
- very slow to move around, isn't that curious
I am happy to give any info you need to gather some help. Much appreciated,
Michelle

There is probably a connection between the uric acid diathesis and poor bone quality and a great number of rx will pertain to this - magnesiums, calcs, berberis and many more.

if the Clac has helped then shouldn't you be thinking about continuing with it. In what way did it help?

What rubrics selection are you using?

Yes, I am continuing with calc carb. I just haven't treated many cats before and was wondering if anyone could help this cat prevent bladder (struvite) crystals from forming. He has had them twice before.

I was originally treating him for a stomach ulcer and the calc carb seemed to have helped the most. He recently had a set back when he got an infection from where his feeding tube was inserted.

Some of the rubrics I had used for the ulcer are:

- mind fear men
- mind fear strangers
- mind cautious
- stomach ulcers
- stomach inflammation
- gens rubbing amel
- mind mildness
- gen food and drinks liver aversion
- mouth odor offensive
- mouth salivation
- gens bones complaints
- eyes pupils dilated
- eyes staring
- mouth inflammation gums

Thanks,

Michelle

Yes, I probably should continue with the calc carb as he does seem to be responding well. He initially came to see me for his stomach ulcer he was suffering from.

His owner recently said he was having a set back but then discovered an infection from the removal of his feeding tube from his neck.

He has gained his energy back after fixing this problem.
Her main concern now is his potential to get bladder stones.

I am not used to treating cats and was wondering if other homeopaths would go in with just constitutional treatment or consider something else.

Someone mentioned that I could try a calcarea complex with maybe calc renalis/calc carb/calc phos. I haven’t used this approach before and wondered what others think.

His owner is particularly worried about her cat getting bladder stones again as he has had them twice in the last couple of years regardless of the diet he is on.
Some of the rubric I have used (mainly for the ulcer he was suffering from)
MIND - FEAR - men; of [= male persons]

MIND - FEAR - strangers, of

STOMACH - ULCERS

GENERALS - RUBBING - amel.

MIND - FEAR - people; of

MIND - MILDNESS

MIND - QUIET disposition

GENERALS - FOOD and DRINKS - liver - aversion

MOUTH - ODOR - offensive

MOUTH - SALIVATION

GENERALS - BONES; complaints of

EYE - PUPILS - dilated

EYE - STARING

MOUTH - INFLAMMATION - Gums

STOMACH - INFLAMMATION
Thanks Michelle

In what way was the stomach ulcer confirmed and in what way did the Calc carb help. Good to note as you then have a baseline to work with.

What is the mouth odour like can you be more specific.
Other than that go by the sx pertaining to what needs to be cured. And avoid combos :-)
