There is a whole chapter entitled Theory of Provings and a previous one called Introduction to Provings. In the latter he discusses that meditation provings symptoms cab be the result of the meditation in which case they are a disturbance or "noise". "But typical meditation symptoms can also belong to the remedy. That's why I have left them on the proving text" He then gives a list of these symptoms
From the book:-
"For me the meditation proving is often the most convenient and helpful. It gives results fast and with little effort. The disadvantages are that the picture will not be complete and can be incorrect in parts. But that can also be the case with other provings. in my experience meditation provings are often quite reliable and give the essence of the remedy, more so than dram provings. For others the opposite can be true.
When used with care , the information in the meditation provings in this book can be and has been very helpful in the development of the remedy pictures, I publish them so that the reader can have a fuller picture of that development.""
He then has a table of the Advantages and Disadvantages of Intoxication, Full Proving, Dream Proving and Meditation.
