There are some fundamental differences which I, with only little knowledge
of TCM, had thought to be far greater than similarities.

Perhaps you could point out what you believe to be similar, and what you
understand to be different?

The three tresures asserts the thinking that the mind stimulates the chi and the chi once stimulated promotes movement in the body.

And a chronic condition is supplanted by an acute exogenous manifestation of the vital force.

The similarity is as to the mythology which both homeopathy and oriental medicine share; 'practice no judgement', 'fluid movement', 'control is an illusion', life force should be respected and allowed to unfold in fluid movement. Our medicines are different and our Dx follow different diagnostic methods but the prism toward life and its reflections is the same.

Oriental medicine intends to evaluate a clinical picture by assessing a condition of disharmony rather than a state of disease. We seek to describe 'how' rather than 'why' things are as we perceive.
