Would you say this is a good rubric for PTSS?

Had a man in whose arthritis probably started after this in the 90s but we didn't discuss it because he had been treated so much for this over the years with everything from psychoanalystic therapies to counselling. He came because a blood test showed he had R.A. despite liver and kidney indications being fine. He does have all the joint pain and swelling finger joints including one swelling which looks really herpetic. Anyway Rhus Tox fit nearly everything he told me so that is what he got. There are also a lot of Calc modalities ( drenching night sweats etc) The 2 Rx are complimentary.

Yes Shannon - I see that Opium is the main Rx and he did say he gets occasional flashbacks but now knows what they are, accepts them and gets on with his life. It was the joints he came about and guess what , when I looked up the antidepressant he has been on for years, albeit a very small dose, I saw the word "Arthralgia" - I wonder!!!

Because Stramonium doesn't have a fear of the fright remaining, simple as it sounds it is true, unlike the rx represented in this rubric. Stramonium does have A/F fright though - this is different.

Rochelle - you should probably have discussed it with him as it would have answered the question for you. Rhus tox has A/F fear. Drenching night sweats with joint pains suggests Aconite especially if you are going to use the A/F fright but so many rx have drenching night sweats.
