Hi,
I have been looking for a dropper that had almost no smell (or taste) to use with my water potencies (LM or C potencies.
I find only smelly substances:
1. Rubber - very smelly,
2. A soft plastic (sometimes called "Thermoplast") - has less smell, but still smells.
The fluid is exposed constantly to the dropper's smell (it stands on the top of the bottle - above the fluid).
I am sure that the smell penetrates the fluid and that the fluid will indeed have some taste of the dropper!
Had anyone seen remedies badly affected by these marterials?

Hi,
I've been using brown bottles with glass droppers and rubber tops for years now. So far no problems reported - I do ask px to make sure the bottle is kept upright though.

I know it would cost extra, but with Acme Vial, you can buy the liquid bottle tops, and dropper tops separately from bottles, and buy both. Then you have more time to "air out" the dropper tops, and only use them when you are ready to.
In the mean time, a lot of Beauty supply shops and Science supply shops carry Pipettes, which can be used separately from bottles which traditionally had dropper tops put on immediately.

Vera,

Since you use dropper bottles not the 8 oz bottles for water potency, what instructions do you give clients since it's not teaspoons hat make up the dose? I have wanted to et dropper bottles but everyone seem to use larger bottles and teaspoon instructions.

Hi Sue,

The 8oz bottles are in many ways better - with the 30ml you need to be more careful about aggravation. David Little has an article on his website www.simillimum.com , "Solutions Large and Small" which gives full instructions about the smaller bottles.

I use these bottles for olfactory, external rubbing and oral doses, depending on sensitivity of px, whether there's a history of substance abuse (then external is best, olfactory second), etc. Always instruct to succuss the bottle before any dose, I usually start with 3 succussions. For oral dose, 1 drop in a cup of water, stir well, half tsp or tsp dose. If I want to strengthen the solution but don't want to go up in potency, I may increase number of succussions, number of drops, or number of tsps. In very sensitive px where I want to keep oral dose but don't want to aggravate, I have the px take the solution through two or three dilution cups before taking tsp dose.

Most rubber has a property like you see with rubber bands softening &
becoming sticky.
Rubber on exposure to oxygen or air, softens & develop cracks.
Google for proof if you refuse to understand what most others have
already understood.
