hi,
Does anyone hve any experience or advice in treating an old woman with painful calves, called " Leg Cramps"?
For several years she have been getting bad leg cramps early in the morning while still asleep and while and after waking from sleep, and the pain continues when she gets up and remains very painful when she tries to walk and while walking.
IT lasts hours every day.
The pain has a crampin quality. I gave her Mag-p 6x trit. as a schussler salt- with no help.
TIA
rafy

There are probably over 200 even 300 hundred remedies that have leg cramps. You would have to narrow this down by asking more specifically about modalities, what makes it >. If it comes on during sleep always then that is a useful rubric, also if they wake her from sleep, use that rubric, if there is a periodic time table to this then use that exact time (you say early morning but if there is an exact time go with that). If there is a time of day that the cramps go away then use that as an >> modality. certain foods might cause these cramps so look at that area. Kali carb for example has cramps in the legs nearly always << early morning, Nat mur also but < 9 am approx but there could be so many rx to choose from.

Causation might be worth enquiring as well, why might she be getting these cramps. Take the case that pertains to what needs to be cured.
You need to build a more secure case to find the simillimum.

Wonder if arterial circulation is impeded and this is claudication. Do not know why it occurs at rest ,maybe blood pressure is lower before rising, certainly claudication worse with walking ,eases when stops. If that was the case Cactus Grand might be useful. ?? Cratageus. . It sounds a bit too prolonged to be a cramp??/ Just a thought ,Jean

I got wonderful results from Try Cuprum Met 200c. Since this patient is plethoric Calc. carb 200c may be given along with as a constitutional remedy.
