Ledum?

Post by Shannon Nelson »

I think it was Joy who a few days ago posted a very intriguing bit
about M/E picture of Ledum? My computer ate most of my email, and I
lost that one... Could Joy or someone please send it again for me?

Thanks!
Shannon

The relevant post/s will be in the archive. The only thing I noted was, I think, - a desire for ice water on the affected part.

But I could write more if you wish.

You will find it to do with the heat in the head specifically and as Ledum has a great deal of burning internally and a need to drink cold (this in the proving) then this is a good starting point for 'wanting cold to the part'.

Joy
Which, to the best of my knowledge, is not in the proving.

It was added by Hering in his Guiding Symptoms as a cured symptom - in
detail too.

Joy--I would love it if you write more about it!

(And still hoping someone will tell me how to find the archives--I used
to know, but can't find them this morning!)

Hi Shannon,

To find the archives you need to go to a minutus post (not your own
which for some reason don't automatically offer access) click on the
link to "Visit your Group" usually on the sidebar or as an option down
the bottom. Since you haven't visited the group on the web for a while
you'll probably need to sign in so you can access the messages and then
you can scroll through them or do a search.

I think it was me that posted about Ledum mentals - I learnt the ones I
talked about from Jill Turland's book "Getting Back on Track* which
applied to my daughter and also one of her team mates who had a stunning
result from rubbing Ledum 30 on sore stiff fingers from constant ball
catching practice after Arnica had aggravated the pain and swelling
dramatically the day before.

Ledum as part of a team will be a bit like the team martyr - feeling a
bit on the outer, unfairly treated, passed over for a better player in a
way that makes them feel definitely inferior, and yet there will be a
strong loyalty to hold on to being part of the team, so there will be
frustration and dissatisfaction. Jill's summary of the essence of it is
'I can't let go'. She has seen a lot of tedon injuries which come from
holding the body in a constant state of tension - sports like water
skiing, abseiling, cycling, gymnastics, and also activities that require
precision eg fine needlework, surgery, tennis - so there is a need for
constant control.

Like Arnica it is high in manganese so it also has problems following
constant jarring experiences. I found that when my daughter was in that
emotional state of belonging to a team but feeling badly treated by them
she became unusally stiff and sore after cross country training and
Ledum provided quick relief.

Gail.

Hi Joy,
Seems to me more guessing and speculation than using cured symptoms.

Anyway - where does Hahnemann say that we may work this way?

Ah, I see you are still into accosting! Where is the speculation or guessing - in fact I do not want to know from you because there isn't any but if you want to rephrase your question I will gladly answer.
