sensitivity to ice

I now have remembered why I don' t have ice in my drinks. I have been crunching ice in a drink and now , an hour later I have terrible sensitivity pain in the top and bottom teeth, front only where crunched the ice!! Remembering the last time I had an ice cream this could last a couple of hours!! Any suggestions for a remedy for me to take please?
