Ledum and Phos

I have a sick kitty who is Phos right now, and she purrs up a storm,
and needs lots of attention, seeming cheerful in engaging me etc.
But there is a difference. She is anxious-cheerful now despite the
cheerfulness (a front to hide true health concern?) rather than happy-
go-lucky cheerful. And she WANTS to be made well. It's as if she is
trying to force "her normal" to return to her. If I did not know her
so very well (she's my oldest kitty, been with me since birth) I'd
easily miss the difference.
There too, I see a difference. They will tell you something is wrong
- but they do not want to dwell on it, they want it to go away. For
example - this same kitty was bitten by a black widow spider in FL
at one point almost ten yrs ago, and she came running on three feet
screaming in pain to show me the bad leg - and then took us to where
the spider was that got her...
(She loves to take me around the house when I get home to say what
water or food bowl needs topping up, and who tossed a hairball
where.... so showing me things is part of her no-boundaries behavior.)
However now she is ill, no more showing me around the house - but she
did show me where she hurts with this illness. I sure wish all cats
would do so, it would be very helpful! She wants THAT attended to.
She tells me once, she does not repeat it or harp on it or exaggerate
it as an Ars would.)
Yes i agree that part - they feed on the attention - at least till
they are too ill to handle it - then they may go off somewhere alone
to have some peace and rest a bit (which is un-phos like for a
healthy phos.)
I don't think they are less bothered, I think they are more resigned
to it, knowing that they have it and can not fix it.
It's not the same as not suffering from it - nor the same as making
an excessive deal about it. They will rest, resigned to it and then
may later feel more energy and try again to get help.
