There is a FAR, far greater field in which the understanding and
utilisation of homeopathy will expand between your two ears.
As mentioned by others and also in one of my recent emails, there are
already well over 1,000 rx which might be commonly available in
pharmacy. It is probable that no one alive has intimate knowledge of
half of those, let alone the additional 1 or 2 thousand uncommon ones.
Proving new rx, is great. Probably proving or re-proving OLD ones
would be of even more benefit (less glory !)

You have however, touched on the paramount importance that remedies
are made up and proved
-yet you leave out the most important part .. Materia Medica must be
written.. you finish:
and rubrics then allocated to the consequential symptoms. Sure, it is
important to have good repertory, since repertory is:
the INDEX to the Materia Medica.

By repertorising a case, and reading all of the "top contenders" as
well as any "tiny" Rx that come up,
you will then need to break out the materia medica ... if & when you
discover none of those Rx seem to fit your case well, you regroup,
rethink, re-read your notes, possibly call the client with a few
questions, re-do your repertorisation, and then--- hopefully this time
when you read the materia medica .. Voila ! There is what seems
perfect. Or if not... perhaps in reading, you find reference to
another Rx which had not come up high in your repertorisation .. and
on further reading (in 3 or 4 of your favorite materia medicas)
Eureka! you've found it.

THIS is the territory in which the understanding and utilisation of
homeopathy will expand.
Ever more newer remedies has nothing much to do with your becoming an
excellent Hahnemannian homeopath; any substantial amount of time
reading materia medica will show that our homeopathic legacy is rich
with cures accomplished by excellent homeopaths with far fewer
remedies at hand than you have.
Pharmacies should not sell potentized medicinal substance "to the
public" unless it has been well-proven.
(and in many cases MAY NOT LEGALLY offer Rx for sale without it being
entered into a legitimate statutory pharmacopoeia which is a GREAT
thing, as it provides a central point where a proving must be agreed
to be of sufficient quality to characterize the homeopathic use of
that particular medicinal potency.)
Whether a pharmacy wishes to potentize cat boil pus for some
veterinarian who has not been able to find an approriate remedy from
within the 1000+ of documented remedies ... is I think best left up to
the discretion of the pharmacist; certainly it is ludicrous to assert
one's "right" that a pharmacy do so.
I do not believe the pharmacy should then sell that cat boil pus
remedy to others unless it has been well-proved, or possibly if there
is a perfect mutual understanding that it is NOT a proven Rx, and
possibly that the pharmacist asserts that there is no known use for
the rx in homeopathic terms. Thus, experimenters could experiment,
while not polluting the pool of existing well-proved Rx.
Many pharmacies offer a copy of the proving for newer Rx. This is a
very good idea.
A record of every Rx made up is another good idea, including detailed
source description, but if a pharmacy does not do this, and no law is
made to force the issue, it is up to the pharmacist's sense of duty to
future homeopaths.

I think that the entire biosphere should probably be potentized before
it all goes extinct.
Especially the jungles. And indigenous herbals from India.

Sometime I write from a pedantic and conservative point of view, just
to take a position that I see as needing to be spoken (written.)

Tiny & obscure remedies are often golden.. I always look at any of
them which come up, though have rarely found a use.
Honestly, I DO think that perhaps 500 rx would suit most homeopaths
.. probably 95% of cases.

If in terms of history, your meaning is about pharmacies keeping
immaculate records?
Yes, I certainly do think they should .. I don't know about forcing
them to, I hope they have the dedication & vision take this on as
their responsibliities.

I real life, I have been a rebel (like Irene) in many ways.

And, though JW and I have much in common, he disapproved of some of my
posts, some of the time.
He sure left a large vacuum behind when he left !

I hope I've understood what you were saying. It's almost 6am here,
and I've been up all night working on a computer project with a friend
/ client. Nap time !
