Opportunistic use of hype for homeopathic education - was tub flu

Dear Dave,
Thank you so much for confirming my suspicions. It feels really good
to get my logical process in order. Preparing my husband for a
pandemic flu is an academic exercise in the sense that I realize that
the reason for doing it is not fully justified by what common sense
would say I am doing. I am learning a lot so that's good too. Also,
I am an opportunist. The Japanese news is really hyped up and so is
my husband. Because of this hype, my husband will include a remedy
pack in his preparations. Normally, I cannot even get him to take
remedies with him or to call when in trouble on the health front. He
would prefer not to rely on "mommy" and I sympathize. The basic
reason for these "new" diseases is not changing. Call it pollution,
creating a mutation breeding grounds in human and livestock type
animals, bioterrorism who knows what all, such structural/political
issues are not being currently addressed. As a homeopath, the need
to educate and prepare people around you does not change even if the
hype is poorly founded. This kind of opportunity should not be used
as a scare tactic, but there is a much deeper reason to be prepared,
so I am riding on the tide of the times. Truth and reality are
hidden. The consequences of our collective actions need to feel
worse. Until then, I am just keeping my eye on what needs to be done
by me for reasons that most people don't understand.
Blessings,
Ellen
