Byetta vs. Heloderma Suspectum, was Hypertension & Hypothyroidism

Having used Byetta, on and off, for the last few years, I've noticed many positive effects not specifically related to diabetes. Usually, immediately after injection, I feel very good with lots of energy. It also leads to weight loss over time, I've lost 50 lbs on it. It doesn't immediately lower blood glucose which is why it is not approved as a monotherapy for diabetes It seems to have a regulating function. After a few months on it, I need to stop, as I've found continued usage then makes me feel worse. After a time, I seem to need it again. As I noted here, soon after starting it, I had to stop Synthroid as it started to make me sick. I have not had to go back on any thyroid med even when off Byetta.

No wonder I need to skip doses as it has themes related to mania, insomnia, energy. Definitely experience the balancing and centeredness aspects.

Has anyone used this remedy? Worth trying in diabetes, bipolar mania, insomnia, irritability and overall lack of energy. The drug, Byetta, costs $300 w/o insurance, needs to be refrigerated until first use, once opened has to be used w/in 30 days, and you have to follow rules on injecting on an empty stomach, eating within 1 hour after injection, waiting at least 6 hours until next dose, not eating within 2 hours before next injection. Would be great if the remedy could replace it.

Amylin, the company who makes this, is in trials on a once a week version. They are in competition with newer drugs to be introduced for diabetes expanding on the GLP-I concept.
