Hello,
One of the reasons that LM are known for less unwanted effects (I don't think we should get mentally lost by labelling remedy actions to be "side effects")
-is probably that many people are still using C remedies in "dry dose" .. whereas nearly everyone who is using LM is using 5th/6th Organon "medicinal solution" aka liquid posology.
In my experience, using C potencies in medicinal solution .. their action is fairly similar to LM, when considering LM as a full range of potencies.
Perhaps the LM potencies are more suited than C for chronic cases, where we anticipate considerable time required for the unwinding of long-term pathology..
the LM seem to nicely "ramp up" when Judiciously Repeated..
but can DEFINITELY produce unwanted effects when repeated too often !
It is important to give a "test dose" and watch & wait in order to begin to see the remedy acting,
then equally important to fine tune repetition of the dose in terms of
pace & depth of remedy; pace & depth of pathology; individual's sensitivity; and perceived pace of "the case" as the remedy is repeated.
There is a great article series on LM vs C and 4th Organon "dry dose" vs 5th & 6th Organon "medicinal solution" here in Whole Health Now's "pro homeopath" section
