Miss Sarah T. took twelve powders, containing Triticum 200, one every hour till a symptom appeared. After twelfth powder, the second day, had headache commencing in morning, continuing all day very severe, located across eyes and across forehead, worse after walking and stooping the head. After three months she reported no further effect, but wished me to send her some medicine, as her menses, which had always been normal, now came on every two weeks, with a great flow of bright blood. Triticum C M relieved her entirely. This cure has been verified.
A bread-baker informed me that sale girls in his bakery were very apt to have disturbed menstruation, especially when they first came; but they gradually became regular, and generally with increase in the size of the breasts.
Triticum I prepared from the ripe wheat, by crushing and making aqueous and alcoholic tinctures, running them up to the third, and mixing them.

Proving. * - Mr. - took a drop of twelfth potency. Could not lie in bed on account of a feeling as if every bone were bruised, which caused a feeling of despair, moaning, and crying out. In twenty-four hours, cough causing sore pain in chest; the pain was so bad that he had to go down on his knees (the cough seemed to force him from his chair into that position), as in that position the pain from coughing was less severe. This cough lasted a month. For a long time afterwards he had it slightly, and it was finally removed by a dose of Eupat.-perf. 200 which I gave him. Stomach seemed contracted from side to side. Urine less in quantity. For some time previous to the proving, he had had shooting pain in right great toe before rain or a thunderstorm, so that he always knew when it was coming on; this ceased, and did not return.

This proving was made at least six years ago, but I had no opportunity of verification till last year, when the two following cases turned up within a few days of each other.
Case I
Feb. 3rd, 1879. Miss - caught cold ten days ago; has now constant cough, worse at night, causing soreness of chest; no expectoration; cough is only relieved by getting on hands and knees. Prescribed Eupat.-perf. 200 every two hours till better.
Feb. 4th. Cough decidedly better, with expectoration; less soreness; has not needed to assume the quadrupedal posture. Repeat medicine every three hours.
Feb. 5th. Had a much better night; cough less and much looser; less soreness. Stopped medicine; afterwards required Phosph. and Nux. to complete the cure.
Case II
Feb. 20th, 1879. Mr. - caught cold three weeks ago. Present symptoms: - Cough worse from 2 to 4 a.m. , excited by tickling in chest, causing tightness of chest; cough is worse when lying on back, and relieved by kneeling with face towards pillow (this last is the most marked symptom); scanty expectoration; for two or three days, painful fulness in head on coughing or blowing nose; lowness of spirits. Eupat.-perf. 200 every three hours. He took the medicine for four days. All the symptoms were much better next day, and soon ceased.

May 15th, 1879. Mr. - , had been ill for about eight weeks, with cystitis and enlarged prostate, and constant urging to urinate, with inability to pass anything without the catheter; was constantly growing worse under the care of an Allopath, and a Homoeoallopath; medicinal disease was added to the original malady. His friends had been prepared for his decease. He was very nervous and restless, could scarcely contain himself, and could get no sleep. Urine very dark brown, fetid, with much mucus and some blood, hot and very painful on passing. Three globules of Coffea C M were dissolved in a glass of water, and a teaspoonful given every half to two hours for about five doses. After the third dose he became more quiet; later in evening he dropped off to sleep, and did not wake till morning, when he urinated freely without aid, and became convalescent from his many ailments. In about ten days he was out in the street; continued to improve, and now (August 25th) is quite well, attends to business, and looks better than he has done for years. He was daily drinking coffee when this took place.

Proving. - During August, 1879, I mixed three globules of Coffea C M in a tumbler of cold water, drank it, filled the tumbler with cold water, mixed it, and drank it, and repeated this a third time; this was about 4 p.m. After 5 p.m. became quite unwell, felt cold and chilly, deep profound nausea; at 8 p.m. could eat no supper; went out to walk; grew worse and worse; felt as if I had no physical weight or strength; was so weak that I found it difficult to return home again from a short walk; lay down, grew more chilly and cold all over, felt as though I should freeze through, could not prevent my teeth from chattering; much nausea and some severe retching, but not actual vomiting; had forgotten all about taking the Coffea C M. Urinated often, freely at first, then painfully, with much urgency and pressure, and finally as if the bladder were inflamed; grew weaker and weaker, till I had a sense as if the body were dissolving; feared that I should die; feeling inclined to complain of everything; slept very little during the night; had during the night and next day some twenty bilious light watery stools, as if it would become dysenteric, very fetid and prostrating; hands became icy-cold, fingers felt as if frozen, right hand the worst; the skin of hand contracted and the flesh wrinkled or corrugated as in collapse of Asiatic cholera; "goose-skin" over the whole body. Next day at noon began to feel somewhat better; thought of the Coffea taken, and wondered if that was the cause of my very serious illness; read the pathogenesis, and found most of my symptoms there. At about 2 p.m. I took three globules of Cham. C M, and grew better rapidly; the third day was about as well as usual.
