Thank you for all who replied with suggestions for my duck. Her foot is still swollen, though with slightly less heat and seemingly greater comfort since Vipera. I'm not convinced she has an infection after all, mainly because I would have expected an infection to have greater impact on her vital force. Whatever this problem is, it seems contained, and the duck is quite feisty, eating well, and only holding back from roaming with her flock. Will keep you posted.
