I agree here--personally, I appreciate the reference to Nash's book, as this is one of the things homeopaths have to become knowledgable about in practice.

Where I live, there are also classes women can attend to learn more about this method (almost every one of my patients has asked me about natural birth control methods, the need to know this is that great). I try to keep phone numbers offering further info on places and times for these events handy, too. When I am asked, I like to have resources I can offer to women who want to do some further research before making up their minds.

The really great thing about this form of birth control is that it creates a situation where every woman who uses it becomes very familiar with her cycle and her body--which is really another kind of self-knowledge you hope your patients attain throughout their treatment with homeopathy. When a patient presents with menstrual complaints of any kind, this self-knowledge of the cycle and the body is often not there (a big part of the problem!). I think it can help a woman restore that "certain level of health", especially when used with homeopathy--it doesn't need to be wholly dependent on that restored health in order to be useful and beneficial for the patient (though its reliability in preventing pregnancy is greatly lessened--and the patient should be clear about this, of course).
