Plastic Tasting Water

Hello Sara, I just finished reading your informative post on
plastic containers. Those #1 "soft" transparent containers are
actually the clear hard to the touch containers, which I always believed
had the crisper, cleaner tasting water. The #2 containers, which the
industry calls "hard" plastic is actually the more softer bendable
plastic which leaves an undeniable plastic taste in the water.
Although I have heard the #2 is safer, I just can't figure how that
might be. I guess if we taste the plastic then its not in the water!
