I hadn't wanted to burden you guys with all the details, but since a couple
of people asked for more info, here it is. Also I realized I had meant
recurrent urinary infections, rather than chronic. Sorry. : )

This following was obtained from interviews from her teenage sister, who
babysits her 6 days a week, and her single mother, who works 12 hour days, 6
days a week. Parents have been separated since she was 1.

----------------------
Girl, age 5
Recurrent urinary tract (diagnosed E. coli) infections for the last 3 years
(since age 2)

Mind:
Easily sad, especially when parents leave. Mom leaves for work every
morning, dad leaves after very infrequent and sporadic visits
Sadness related to feeling abandoned. When sad, better for being hugged or
carried
Sensitive to shouting
Slight fear of darkness and bugs
Suspicious? Not easily tricked, always knows when someone is lying to her
Easily angry, throws things, but is not destructive. Angry with people, not
objects. When angry, better for being left alone.
A lot of energy, likes to be in motion, doesn't like to go to bed at night.
Talkative, has a slight speech impediment (can't pronounce "r's")

Stool and Urine:
Chronic constipation, bowel movements only 2-3 times a week, normal stools
Urination profuse, but infrequent (urinates only 3-4 times a day, which is
not a lot for a kid)
Wets the bed 2x a week
Recurrent urinary infections with fishy-smelling urine, of dark
yellow/saffron color, and burning pain while urinating.

Modalities, Generalities, and Food:
Better for coolness, easily hot
Sweats a lot at the temple and forehead in the summer
Thirstless, drinks mostly at night, almost nothing during the day
Appetite normal
Likes sweets like all kids, no particular cravings or food avoidances

No symptoms in any other system (head, limbs, heart, skin, etc.)

--------------------------

Thanks for your ideas and help. I am already looking at the remedies you
all have suggested so far.

Best regards always,
Helen

It may indeed be Pulsatilla but it is important that anatomical abnormality be investigated such as ureteric reflux. This may resolve with remedies and time but if not the kidneys may be impaired. I think it is important to know what we are dealing with. An ultrasound of renal tract would help in decision making, Jean

I was wondering the same thing. I think it would be wise to find out. Rosemary
