Minutus

Woman who is a cleaner who has done well with Sepia. In the beginning the large oedematous swelling in and knee she thought went down. Last time I saw her it had spread and was quite wide. I gave her Nat Phos 6x which has improved her neck and back pain so she is not now taking pain killers. I thought this might help the knee because she was complaining of a funny sensation (crepitation?) when she moved it.
However the stress incontinence is back , menses improvement gone backwards so have put her back onto Sepia 1M.
The right knee today looks much more pointed rather than spread out and I could really feel the fluid. It was very hot to touch when compared with her other knee. She says that sometimes it has a discolouration across it that looks like a bruise. I have given her some Apis 6 to try for a few days.
Any ideas for the knee?

May need aspiration though sounds as if it may discharge if pointing .?/Silaca to aid that .Is the Apis high enough if that is what is needed.?? Certainly the heat indicates inflammation. ?? Hepar. hot dry red Belladonna, Pyrogen if ill in self. Sorry not to more helpful, Jean

I have never know a bursitis discharge. Have you Jean? It aspiration an option? She as never been offered it. There is no infection and she is not ill in herself.

I have never know a bursitis discharge. Have you Jean? It aspiration an option? She as never been offered it. There is no infection and she is not ill in herself.

Thanks but no she doesn't have gout. She is runs her own cleaning firm and cleans and that is why she has housemaids knee.

It crossed my mind but couldn't think of any good reason for it as she is not oedematous anywhere else!!:-)

If something is pointing and fluctuant one wonders will it discharge. A bursitis by nature is internal in joint so perhaps your comment valid.
If it s hot to touch and red one wonders about inflammation . Is the Apis working? Jean

It may be infectious.purulent? Analyze the discharge

I gave her the Sepia today because I want to reverse her physical symptoms that have returned in the last month when I gave her the Nat Phos 6x to take. I have asked her to start taking the Apis 6 from tomorrow and phone me in a few days to tell me if there has been any improvement in the bursitis.
