Rose Quartz

This remedy was proved in a different manner from that used for the other provings described in this journal. In this case there were two different provings. In the first, the proving took place while the remedy was being made by the process of trituration. This involved grinding and diluting the crystal through three stages to a 3c potency following the direction of Helios Pharmacy by nine provers, who took notes on what they were receiving during the grinding and scraping. In the second proving the remedy in the 30c potency was taken by a second group in a meditative proving as described in the first issue of Prometheus.
This description of the remedy Rose Quartz is a combination of both of these provings made from the triturated and potentised crystal. A potency has also been made of the essence of the remedy prepared according to the instructions given in Gerudas Book Gem Elixirs and Vibrational Healing, i.e.. a cleansed piece of Rose Quartz crystal is placed in pure water in a glass bowl surrounded by sev­eral clear Quartz crystals and left in morning sunlight for several hours. The water becomes the gem essence or elixir. A proving has also been made of the potentised Rose Quartz essence.
Although the essence, the potentised essence and the triturated crystal all en­compass the whole being, the crystal remedy has a particular affinity for the physical body, the elixir for the etheric and the potentised elixir for the spiritual.
As with all the crystal remedies, Rose Quartz can be used as a remedy on its own, but works particularly well in com­bination with other remedies, or in an adjunctive relationship, for example in low potency or essence supporting an­other remedy in high potency or alter­nating in the same potency for example a 30c.
ESOTERIC AND EMOTIONAL PICTURE
This is a very beautiful crystal and one we are all familiar with. As a remedy, Rose Quartz exemplifies the syphilitic miasm: lovely on the outside but dark within. It is not what it seems to be. As such, it covers all aspects of the syphi­litic miasm and will help the action of syphilitic remedies. It is also for people who hide, who are not what they seem, chameleons who change their ideas and even their personalities to blend in with those they are with; those who deceive, lie and flatter with no feelings of guilt or remorse. This remedy will remove false pride and enable people to speak the truth. (Moldavite, Emerald)
Rose Quartz has a particular affinity for the crown, heart and thymus chakras although it works on all the centres. It releases ancestral grief and allows peo­ple to release more karma. It enhances the action of all remedies that work on the heart centre.
It gives protection in all circum­stances, whether physical, mental or psy­chic protection (Moldavite, Amethyst, Purple) and gives strength in times of strain and distress. It will benefit some­one who feels she is at the point before ultimate disaster and destruction. (Phos Ac, Tub., Plutonium and radiation rem­edies.)
It is another remedy for children who have suffered from vaccinations (as in­deed they all have if they have been vac­cinated) particularly where this has left a child unable to mature and learn be­cause of the fear and shock that has been created. Children may also display a re­luctance and grief at incarnating which appears as sleep disturbances, clinginess or apparently unwarranted distress. This remedy, with its ability to heal the heart and thymus, will help these children a lot.
It will support adults too, who find it difficult to function in the material world not because they are unearthed but be­cause their spiritual contact makes it hard.
It is a remedy for all situations in which the heart centre is shut down and helps to bring about the healing of the heart: depression from a lack of love and a lack of joy; serious, even manic depres­sive states and utter despair with the po­tential for suicide, depression from past abuse.
Like Natrum Mur, which it often re­sembles and which it supports and en­hances very well, there is an inability to forgive and the bearing of grudges, a hardness, an unemotional state where the feelings have been suppressed. There is a feeling of isolation and alienation, of feeling unappreciated and lacking in ac­knowledgement. (Bayleaf)- There is a lack of connection with other people, a fear of people, an inability to trust.
There may be a feeling as if a familiar part is missing and they have to go and find it and it may be this that spurs them on their spiritual quest rather than a feel­ing of nowhere being home. As a result of this there may be an impression of naiveté and idealism; there may be frus­tration from the imperfection of the physical world.
Conversely, with the shutting down of the heart and thymus centres, there can be cruelty, the desire to hurt or grind down (Berlin Wall,), but equally there may be a sensitivity to and intolerance of cruelty, especially to animals.
Rose Quartz has an affinity with work: on the one hand there is a feeling of being pressured to work hard and har­assed as if there is too much to do with panic as if it will not all be done in time. The mind functions well and quickly and hates routines (the opposite of Bayleaf). At the other polarity, there is a dislike of physical work and again of rou­tine, an indifference to work and a care­lessness about the effort put into any­thing, with an inability to finish things. Inevitably, along with this goes a sense of inadequacy and the anxiety that re­sults from this and a sensation of not being good enough.
Part of the inability to work is a state of dreaminess, a sense of paralysis of thought, the mind moving very slowly, as if having been asleep and just waking up, day-dreaming, staring into space, with forgetfulness and lack of concen­tration, doing things automatically. Oddly, there can be a state of dazed sad­ness but with acute hearing and a sense of alertness but without the ability to respond. This remedy can allow people to make up their minds and see things clearly, particularly if they are wavering between homeopathy and allopathy. It can also help chronic cannabis smokers and those attracted to drugs.
Again like Natrum Mur, the mind can be dominated by old or obsessive thoughts, by reminiscences and past scenes which are played over and over in the head.
GENERAL SYMPTOMS
Dark green discharges, e.g. dark green watery diarrhoea.
Throbbing sensations.
< Routine and anything that stops flow.
Alternating states of tiredness and high energy.
PHYSICALS
On the physical level one of the main areas affected by the remedy is the sexual: Rose Quartz integrates and balances both male and female energies, so it will help those confused about their gender or sexuality. (Earthworm). It will help frigidity or asexuality, sterility and infer­tility. It is also for people who have or have had many sexual partners; those who have a background of sexual per­version either as the victim or the per­petrator, of sexual abuse or of prostitu­tion either in this life or in a past life if you sense it. Rose Quartz essence is pow­erful for those damaged by the father or father figure, especially when used with Arnica given high.
Head: Crushing dark headache, affect­ing eyes and vision, aching constant pain, vision goes blank, blindness. Pain R tem­ple, forehead. L centre forehead. Sigh­ing, dull headache and heavy eyes, ear pressure. Left brain.
Neck and Back: Pain: lumbar/sacral; back L side; mid spine sacral region with numbness and crawling sensation; coc­cyx. Growths on spine R side. Difficulty in holding the head up
Eyes: Floaters. Vision problems. Eyes ir­ritated and watery. Dryness & itchy skin around eyes.
Nose: Pain coming down the nose. Right sided clear coryza.
Throat: Cancer. Pain throat to R. ear. Constriction, deadening, irritation, cough, dryness.
Stomach: Nausea, deep in pit of stom­ach, like heavy weight. Desire for water.
Abdomen: Extreme constipation, soft stool, then complete inactivity. Sharp pain in spleen.
Urinary: All urinary problems. Sedi­ment. Works on kidneys and the kidney ancestral energy.
Respiratory: Asthma: breathing slow, dif­ficult, fearful, air hunger, hyperventilate, can't inhale.
Heart: Will help generally with prob­lems. Good for circulation, veins and arteries. Thymus pain. Heart pain. Works well with Crataegus and Kali Mur. Use low x potency.
Extremities: Lack of co-ordination. Clumsiness. Cold feet. Pain R hip going down R leg.
Skin: Minimal sweating.
Sleep: Sleep a lot, take cat naps, sleep as a refuge, desire to sleep. Fear or desire to go to sleep in case won't wake up. Sleep with the remedy under the pillow for access to dreams.
ORGAN/DISEASE AFFINITIES
Rose Quartz can be used as a support­ing remedy to purify the immune sys­tem, parasympathetic nervous system, the kidneys, the lungs, the circulation, the liver and the thymus gland. In a gen­eral way it can help to clear chemical toxicity.
It will support people who have mul­tiple sclerosis and ME; gives vitality where there is stasis.
Leukaemia and all types of blood dyscrasia can be helped by the remedy, even childhood leukaemia; give the rem­edy twice daily as an essence with more constitutional remedies.
Again with the bones, it will help in chronic bone diseases, weak bones and osteoporosis. (Willow)
It is also a useful remedy for helping to clear all forms of radiation, especially caesium and radium. (Emerald, Ayahuasca, Plutonium).
On a more minor note, it may help with ailments from travelling such as sickness and ear pressure problems in planes and from diving.
RELATIONSHIPS
Rose Quartz acts on both the syphilitic and Sycotic miasms, bringing them to the surface and making the constitu­tional remedy picture more apparent. As such it complements the action of both Medorrhinum and Syphilinum.
It can be used with Nux Vomica to help bring peace where there is a lot of aggression and to clear toxicity.
