Could anyone help me with a rubric for a baby 4mths – in general happy child since Calc carb – Calc carb helped heaps with digestive/colic/wind etc but has 3 symptoms that it doesn’t seem to touch –

1. Hates being n car – within one minute of being put in car – screams (mother says not angrily but ‘pick me up now’) for the entire time he is in the car – whether short or long journey (not sure of a rubric for this other than worse motion which is so big or anxiety when riding in a carriage)

2. Sleeps in 45 minute bursts – and has a wakeful period between 2-4am (Mother very sleep deprived and having trouble coping with this and 2 ½ yo)

3. Very liquid stools (totally breast fed and feeding frequently) yellow to bright yellow – Mother says about the consistency of apricot juice – drips out of nappy like this easily but not painful or a problem just all stools are very liquid. No foul odour

Have tried Lyc, Cham?? Any other rubrics or ideas

I have been considering Psorinum – anxiety when riding in a carriage?? Bit not sure it fits the other symptoms – anyway any help appreciated regards Pauline

Motion aggravates a very big rubric. as you say. Anything besides exhaustion in Mother/s state. < 2--- 4 maybe she is fearful of cracking, feeling fragile??/

How is he in small places? Claustrophobia? Something happened before in the car?

two thoughts:
1. is there something in the mother's diet that is coming throught the breast milk and affecting the child?
2. you say the child screams as soon as put in the car, so that suggests it may not be motion that aggravates?
but something else in the environment that makes the child insecure. i am guessing that the child is fine in the
car once held. so is it a sense of separation perhaps that the infant is responding to? does the mother hold
the child a lot in the home?

Hi Pauline,
Is he normally fine without being held (not accustomed to being carried
around a lot, or "worn"?), and is there anything else he seems to react
to--small spaces, noise, being alone (can't see mom from the back
seat)?

Also, might be worth seeing what other possibilities come if you re-rep
with whatever you can find re the above, and also the prior symptoms
which were alleviated by calc-c--since he's only 4 months *old*, there
hasn't been much chance to see how lasting any changes from the calc
are, and seems mostly likely (to me, anyway) that that rx is a "close"
rather than a "hit"; so maybe with additional information you can find
another that's more precise. Hopefully there are other hints about
*why* that car bothers him so much? If not, maybe she could purposely
test out factors such as "enclosed space"; not able to see mom;
confined to the car seat; or ?

You might take a look at Borax veneta, which has problems going at someone else’s speed. Also liquid, yellow stools.
Peace,

Dale
