Hello Beverly,

Without knowing more, it is hard to judge, but is this a teenager, and is there a
possibility/potential of self-harming ? I ask because of the following 'very loose'
suggested rubrics, but when someone fears hurting someone it is often a compensation of
their desire to attack because of suppressed anger/violence. Fear of responsibility can
also be about a fear of growing up to maturity, and the somatisation of the 'sharp little
thrusts' maybe either a desire to do that to oneself or others. Hope food for thought
anyway. Good luck.

Also Staph (also 'stabbing' imagery), and Lyc.
Little rxs might worth considering too maybe are Carc, and Tax-br.

Could also look at remedies with thorns, spikes, etc.
Or, Chocolate has the hedghog thing...are they spikey? I thought the
proving mentions wanting to turn away from the family....from
responsibility, perhaps. Can't look at it now - hope I'm remembering
correctly.

Reading Opuntia prickly pear . It has "Sticking and pricking pains predominate " Mentals do not fit.
I believe it can be used as whole plant for diabetes. Sure I heard that a few years ago but can not remember details. FWIW Jean
