Diabetes diet supplements

Hi
I have a friend who was diagnosed this past year with type 2 diabetes.
The allopath's told her to watch her diet but gave no guidance other than that.
She thought that meant stop eating sugar and has not paid much attention to potatoes, rice and pasta, etc.
Although she eats mostly whole grain rice and multigrain pastas whenever possible.
I Rx Nat M as constitutional and Syzg after meals. I had been giving her the pure tincture to use 10 drops after each meal. It came with no instructions from India.
I then purchased Syz tincture from Standard process and their bottle says to put 15 drops in 4 ounces of water and administer two teaspoons from that after meals for adults 1 teasp children and 1/2 teaspoon infants. Acute every 1-2 hours Less acute every 3-4 hours or as directed by licensed practitioner. the label says for skin eruptions and after a few months taking the Indian tincture a brown fungus like eruption brown, dry, non itching, and rough broke out on both shoulder apexes. Any relationship> I felt it was sycotic and added a thuja cream before I got the American tincture with the indication of skin eruptions. I had her stop the thuja cream in case it was old toxins coming out.
The Boericke rep says
SYZYGIUM JAMBOLANUM
Jambol Seeds - Enlexing, active principle
Has an immediate effect of increasing the blood sugar, glycosuria results.
A most useful remedy in diabetes mellitus. No other remedy causes in so marked degree the diminution and disappearance of sugar in the urine. Prickly heat in upper part of the body; small red pimples itch violently. Great thirsts, weakness, emaciation. Very large amount of urine, specific gravity high. Old ulcers of skin. Diabetic ulceration. The seeds powdered, ten grains three times a day; also the tincture.
Relationship.--Compare: Insulin-An aqueous solution of an active principle from pancreas which affects sugar metabolism. If administered at suitable intervals in diabetes mellitus, the blood sugar is maintained at a normal level and the urine remains free of sugar. Overdosage is followed by weakness and fatigue and tremulousness and profuse sweating.
The rash is definitely NOT prickly heat. Also she is an atypical diabetic with very little thirst although she drinks a moderate amount on some days and very little on other days. The more she drinks the more she urinates of course. Blurred vision is a major complaint but an eye test said no diabetic retinopathy and kidney function is fine.
Her glucose levels fluctuate between normal and 180 sometimes a little higher. If it gets higher she does have some neuropthy in her feet and at times sharp shooting pains like needles in legs and sometimes hand and then most recently in the breasts and abdomen. This made me think it might not be just Neuropathy. Any suggestions on this? I am thinking of nitric acid but it doesn't seem to fit in most areas.
She has also started using xylitol, erytherol, stevia and sometimes splenda when she can't get the sugar alcohols. Sometimes a little honey and cinnamon.
She definitely has a sweet tooth which increased after realizing she couldn't eat sugar and wonders it it is because she doesn't like being told what to do. Lots of grief and abandonment and abuse in her history. Carc has been given.
She has a fear of poverty that is real as she lost her job and home recently. She is in a state of survival and keeping a good attitude.
Also in the last few weeks dry, red sores have broken out in her nostrils worse right and for several months the corners of her mouth. NOT herpetic. Dry red slightly raised and small like the point of the pin in groups of 2-8 clusters. I thought it was contact dermatitis as it first appeared after starting a new facial cleanser. However now it is aggravated with stress and her menses. She is peri-menopausal at 55 years old.She has skipped only a few menses in the last two years. NO PMS, or cramps. Recently the breakouts. Last months menses very heavy with lots of clots this month's brighter red and scanty with mild discomfort after menses basically stopped. Menses lasts 4-7 days tapering off to spotting after 2-4 days.
Any suggestions for how to prepare and take the remedies?
How about 15 drops in 1 ounce of water and take 10 drops of Syz with meals. Would you recommend before or after eating? Storage space is an issue for her.
Would LM remedies work as well as the tincture?
Could the tincture be sprayed on blank pellets and after being dissolved in water would it have the same effect as taking 15 drops of tincture in 4 ounces of water?
Which remedy would you experienced diabetics suggest Syz, Gymnema or Cephalendra which follow organ remedies well according to Dr. Rastogi in India?
Thanks for your help
