anyone know/OT diet.

Gymnema works for me if I have a binge and take 6-10 drops immediately after!! I am on a permanent Low carb/Low GI diet and it has worked so brilliantly for me that sometimes I wonder if I have reversed my Type 2. It was 85 this morning. I also find red wine will lower it. What I can't eat is bread or rice without it shooting up!! I stick to pumpernickel bread and oatcakes!!

Sounds like you are using an herbal tincture. I'm going to try that as I always used the dry powdered standardized herb and do find tinctures usually work better. I think immediately after would work. Have you tried it hours after eating with a high blood glucose reading? I'll experiment.

I am not brave enough to take my blood sugar 2 hours after eating because I know it takes hours to go down. I do use the tincture but very rarely as someone brought me back some from India. My patient used the powder which she puts into capsules because she says it tastes so revolting. If you contact me Off list I will tell you what else I have tried.

Gymnema has a long history of helping to repair beta cells of the
pancreas over time - so it is possible to improve pancreas function.
It was at least part of what helped mine enough to go off insulin
after a year. I uased sugar-Ban form of it, not for "cheating" so as
to eat carbs, but for the long-term gymnema healing effect. There is
more gymnema in it than in supplements of pure Gymnema for the price:-)

Namaste,
Irene

Thanks Irene - something else to put on my least of things to do if necessary but at the moment all is going very well! I remember me telling you that I had never had blood sugar <5.5 (99) and now I regularly get them <90 before eating in the morning!!! Amazing what diet can do.

That history is longer than that of Syzygium jambolanum, a proven
remedy. I've been taking that, per Dr. Ramakrishnan's
recommendations, in MT for months. I haven't found much written about
it except it reduces bloods sugar in urine and tonifies the pancreas.
Since it is an herb, I take breaks every so often.

Is there an MT of gymnema sylvestre? Both are Indian in origin,
gymnema being associated with Aruvyedic medicine.
