Don't know if you've seen anything of Grant Bentley's Facial Analysis -
He lists the prominent front teeth as a Psoric inheritance indication -
but in combination with other facial features it could also be part of
the mixed miasmatic inheritance.

Thanks but it is definitely the front teeth (he has a brace to wear at night) not the jaw. I just wonder if he was a thumb sucker??? I will ask when \I see him next.

we have had a lost of these type of problems over the years in family members. Sometimes if teeth are protruded there is a problem with the jaw i.e. the arch of the palate may be vaulted. This can happen with mouthbreathers as the tongue sitting behind the back of the top teeth is needed to gradually push the jaw into normal growth patterns. The bottom jaw brows in size usually relative to the top jaw. The top jaw widens to allow room for the teeth as the palate drops to normal levels which is why some modern orthodontics do a split plate with a little screw that turns 1/4 turn every so often to widen the top jaw and allow the palate to descend to a more normal level. So perhaps this rubric may still be useful in working out what to do to help from a homeopathic viewpoint.

Doesn't need to be a thumb sucker - my daughter never put her thumb near
her mouth and had prominent front teeth. When it came to time for the
braces, the orthodontist wouldn't treat her until after she'd done
speech therapy for 'reverse tongue thrust' - which I had never heard of
before but explained why as a baby she refused dummies and bottle
feeding. When you swallow the tongue is supposed to connect to the top
palate and then go back toward the throat - with a reverse thrust,
instead of going backwards the tongue pushes onto the top teeth. The
only other thing I remember about it is that it can cause a bit of
trouble swallowing liquids.

Dear Gale,
That's very interesting . I will check it out when I see him again. However the protruding teeth were not there when I saw him last time at age 4 when he will have had milk teeth. I would have written it in my notes if it was present.

That's interesting! Did you ask mum when their appearance changed--it
sounds like something she'd have noticed happening?
