Re: Homeopathic immunizations & titers

Post by Elizabeth Brandegee »

I am wondering if anyone has had cases that tested for the titers after
giving a homeopathic immunization. This is not a practice I pretend to
completely understand and don't believe it should be routine, but open
to possibly being appropriate for certain cases.

I am trying to help a person with a child that is unvaxed, yet facing
going to a school that requires it with no exemptions possible. This
would mean tons of vaccinations and damage all at once. They are
wondering if they can show titers from homeopathic immunizations. If
so, it will probably suffice in their situation. I have not had a
chance to consider if it's even possible or relative to what the
remedies actually do, but thought I'd throw it out here for now :)
Thanks,
Liz

Hi Liz,

It occurs in some cases but not in others.

As you probably know, antibodies are a very poor indicator of immunity though - something that orthodox medicine also knows and accepts (though local doctors may be a little ignorant of this - not everything can be included in a medical program these days).

All that antibodies indicate is that there has been some sort of exposure to the disease either by contracting that disease naturally or through a vaccine.

The hope is that that exposure has produced immunity but antibodies are no sure proof of immunity, just exposure. This is why people can still come down with the disease even though antibodies are present, and why some without antibodies don't get the disease in spite of exposure.

The reason why antibody levels are used is that they are the only thing that can be measured about an immune response. There is no marker available for immunity itself - no way of truly telling if you are immune. If interested in this area, you do some of your own research by googling.

One evidence that change can occur in antibodies is in the diphtheria studies. While homeopathic immunisation generally does not produce antibodies, there have been repeated studies conducted by French doctors showing how exposure to the nosode diphtherinum produces 'antibodies' within the exposed person.

You can read the references by scrolling down to 'diphtheria' at the following link:
http://d-n-h.org/historical.html

Also, one of my friends from my student days was trying to fall pregnant but did not have a positive titre for rubella. After several doses of Rubellinum, there it was. Did this mean that she she was then immune? Maybe not. Did it mean she was not immune before the Rubellin? Possibly, but again, maybe not.

If anyone is looking for a fact sheet on homeopathic immunisation that you can provide to your clients/patients, please email me off the list and I will forward one to you.
Kind regards,

Fran Sheffield

Hi Liz,

"If interested in this area, you do some of your own research by googling."

So sorry - this sounds rude and abrupt but was not intended - LOL

Hasty typing led to words being deleted.

Fran,

When I click the d-n-h link below, it opens a few windows then starts loading antivirus software, supposedly, to my computer, which may do harm!

Hi Susan,

It is hard to tell what is happening here. The site is accessed frequently and no-one else has had this problem. What browser are you using?

The site has just been checked with Firefox and Internet Explorer and there does not seem to be a problem.
Kind regards,

Fran,

I tried with Google Chrome browser and the site comes up. I must have a trojan virus with IE that targets certain URLs. Your other links were OK.

Thanks!

Susan

well, this is disgusting. what state are they in?
what occurs to me is taking a medical approach. vaccines are not
recommended when a child is sick or has certain types of conditions.
might this be an avenue to explore.
this is homeopaths with md licenses may be useful, depending on their
politics

Hi Liz,
I have no answer to your question, but just another question...
Is it the state that allows no exemptions, or specifically the school?
When we were faced with a school that did not allow exemptions (a
private preschool, so "we can legally exclude any child, for any
reason"), in a state that did allow them, we found another school. I
was upset about it at the time, but the school we wound up with instead
turned out to be a much better fit in a number of ways.
exploring? I look forward to hearing the other options, tho!
