... for a person to have a low blood pressure but a very high pulse rate. What about the same person whose pulse rate increases dramatically when she is stood up. Any rubrics or remedies spring to mind? This person has tachycardia which is better a few days before menses and worse for about a fortnight after. We are convinced that it is hormone related.

This is normal, Rochelle, if the person essentially has low blood pressure, and postural hypotension, as you have described. . For the brain to have enough oxygen if the blood pressure goes down, the heart pumps blood faster to compensate for the lower pressure.
There's one remedy, interestingly, in the rubric,

nat-m.h

Nat-m might well be worth looking at as a possibility, given the <<< before menses as well.

Rochelle, I had read the before menses part incorrectly. It looks as though, if you measured, you might find that her blood pressure goes up before menses.

Dear Rosemary,
Thank you for pointing out this rubric to me. I have given the patient Nat Mur once lat year - after she was made ill from being prescribed salt tablets by an allopathic consultant for her tachycardia!!
It actually comes up for many of her present symptoms and so I might well give it a go if the remedy I gave her this week doesn't have any effect.
