Ben's Case - lump

Hi Shelley,
WOW, I was able to find Peter today - first attempt:):)!

He confirmed the lump is NOT a lipoma as you suspected (boy, this is
teaching me heaps - he said he'd show me a case if I wanted to see one;)).

He said the lump was simply a growth that he couldn't determine unless
removed and sent of for tests. He said the vaccine could be responsible
(after I asked him) but he hadn't seen lots of cases affected by the vaccine
.....and they usually resolved fairly quickly (basically what you said
before;)).

(btw, he's open to Homeopathy though doesn't understand it. I hafta share
this wee story with you now....such a happy ending:~)..)

Last June or so - a 2 week old foal went down with sun/heatstroke. The
temperature here then - was about 130degrees or so (in the shade!). She went
blind as a result. I cured her with one dose of Belladonna 200c (in water).
This foal - at the point I reached her - had pretty much been written off.
The powers-that-be (hint: Peter is the Royal Vet) were going to put her down
if she didn't regain her sight within a couple of months...I saw her at age
3weeks (one week after sunstroke). Anyhow, she is fit and healthy now - with
full sight re-gained. Since that happened - Peter's whole thinking was
rocked and he was slightly at odds over the whole thing - not really knowing
what to make of it BUT he does know and acknowledged that he had exhausted
ALL measures before he asked me to look at her (I was the last-ditch effort
so to speak). AND, during the time I examined her - and treated her -
through each check/examination - I ALWAYS made sure Peter did the checking
so he would see *any* changes with his own eyes;) (I had tried a few low
doses of Nat-sulph prior to Bell....and then went onto Bell...). Anyhow,
after the dose of Bell - her pupils contracted and within 10 days her sight
returned.
Of course, naturally it means he has to open his mind to a shift in paradigm
(geez, I'm using that word a lot today, lol) - and at one point - shortly
after the foal's successful recovery - he seemed averse to even talking
about it at all. I left him alone about it - and later when I needed him to
look at Ben for me - he asked if I was going to treat him Homeopathically -
then telling me how well the foal had been doing since the dose of Bell 4
months before (I guess he became convinced it actually worked after it held
for so long?). He showed interest today - and asked if I would update him on
how things go once I select a remedy and treatment begins;).) I'm gonna loan
him a coupla books on Homeopathy;).

Any suggestions on good books for Vets??

Happy day,
Lisa ;~)

I hafta share

Great story! I teach a short introductory course in Homeopathy for Pets. One
of the remedies we discuss is Bell and I use heatstroke as a picturesque
example. Can I use your story?

A great book is Don Hamilton's Homeopathy for Cats and Dogs, Small Doses for
Small Animals. One of the most complete introductions to homeopathy I've
read.

Regards,
Shelley

Absolutey - but let me put it all together so you have the full case --- so
you can show how not to do a couple of things in a case (LOL!) and then how
a well selected remedy brings things round so well;).

I'll put it together some time next week (I'm snowed under just now with
kids activities, Ben's case, a friend who has breast cancer and a few other
things....)

Btw, it was Sheilagh Creasy, in the end, who helped me with this
foal......and what was so ridiculous/funny (and a bit embarrassing,
humbling, etc) - was it was SO obvious that the remedy was Bell.

It was staring me in the face :)~.

Thanks for the book recommendation! I'll definitely get it.
All the best, Lisa
