I seem unable to come up with 1 remedy which I am happy with for this case. I welcome any suggestions and also any other avenues I could pursue.
Thanks

Background This 4 yr old girl came in sat down and started chatting. She asked a lot of Why questions to her mother. She has fine untidy looking blond hair and was in school uniform. She had started school this term at the beginning of the month and this was the first day she hadn't cried when she was going to school. She is tall for her age, average build, reddish lips brown eyes and I found her quite excitable. She went to the toys when I told her she could as I wanted to see her play. She hates dolls and loves cars and that is what she looked for. She kept coming up to me asking me "What is this?" Her speech is clear. She has a 6 year old sister.
Presenting complaint- molluscum which she has had for years says mum. The biggest ones are in the left axillae but do not look infected. The whole family have some molluscum even her parents which I have never heard of before!! Mum has brought her not because the molluscum are bothering her but because when she puts her arms up in PE other children make a fuss because of what the molluscum look like. There are possible molluscum on her knees which mum reckons have been there for the longest but are not at all red around the outside like the axillae ones.
Mum insists that she could not believe how friendly and at home this child was with me because normally she will not talk to strangers and stays by Mum. Even when they go to a relation and stay there for a week the child will not communicate with them and with me she was acting how she does at home with the immediate family. She even went to the toilet on her own which normally she would insist on mum going with her.
At school at first she was terrified at lunchtime in the dining hall. "I didn't like the noise and got a headache. My teacher took me out and put me on the yellow table outside to eat my lunch." She has been at nursery with some girls who are in her class now so all was not unfamiliar. "At school I like tapping in the nails with a hammer toy." She has complained a lot with a tummy ache with the going to school problem.
Mum says she doesn't play with girly toys and is a tomboy. She plays on her own well and sticks at what she plays at and doesn't go from one to another although I can't say I was convinced by this from what I saw. She does a lot of role play. She gets a character and puts in a car and pretends they are real.
Although she has lots of things out at once and is messy and throws things around she does tidy up well.
She is a follower not a leader.
Pregnancy was normal and the birth fast. She was breast fed for 3 to 4 weeks. She cried a lot as a baby and wouldn't go to anyone except mum, less so dad. She cried so much the doctors wondered if she had colic.
Mile stones - teeth at 6 months, talking well early but didn't walk until 20 months. She cried if they tried to stand her up as if her legs hurt. She didn't crawl until 12 months. She was happy to just sit and play.
She has been fully vaccinated and has had 2 ear infections. With one it is possible the eardrum may have burst. There has been one tonsillitis bout. All were treated with antibiotics. She has very large tonsils (so has mum) and a dry skin. She has had a very large verruca which has now gone.
She has only recently become dry at night.
She got and still gets upset if people come into the house and when she goes to other people's houses. Her mum has to be within her sight or she has to know with her mum is when she is in the house. She is still bothered if mum goes upstairs. She shouts to find out where mum is rather than cries.
Food - "I like pizza, chips and spaghetti bolognaise. I like cheese and pickle." Mum says she goes for savoury foods and will eat curry. She likes fruit, "my favourite are pears and I eat lemons with my dad." She will eat sweets over chocolate but would choose crisps preferably. She likes ice cubes.
Aversion to milk and mushrooms.
Drinks a lot, apple juice and fruit squash drinks
Fears - the dark as she has the light on in the hall
- obviously being away from Mum
- dogs
- Jet planes because of the loud noise as she happily goes on an aeroplane.
She sleeps with hands over head and is still in the night. She likes to have a duvet on her and doesn't kick it off.
When her shoes are removed she has sweaty smelly feet always. She also sweats on her head when running around.
She always takes her shoes and socks off in the house.
She likes the colour blue not pink, would rather dress in a track suit and is not bothered about her appearance. She would dress up as a builder or doctor but not girlie things. No problems washing her or her having a bath. No tempers or excessive anger.
