* You can take that but can't take high enough amounts with ascorbic acid
And also if you are acidic already (pH of urine below 6.4) then it will only make you more acidic, which isn't good for health.

Why do you say you can't take high enough doses of it? I have never had problems?

I've read that the type of C to take can be individual and may corelate to Blood type. People with Adrenal issues need the sodium variety - many people use the Calcium type and seem fine with it. Some people find the acid form too irritating for the gut - but it probably suits people with low stomach acid. There is also a fat soluble form -Ascorbyl Palmitate which is more effective than water-soluble Vitamin C for preventing lipid peroxidation and for transporting Ascorbic Acid to the Heart, Brain and Central Nervous System.
Ascorbyl Palmitate is claimed to be thirty times more effective for preventing some forms of Cancer compared to water-soluble forms of Vitamin C.
People are too individual for it to be as simple as 'only sodium ascorbate'
Gail.

Hi,
And what would you recommend to take to get the urine becoming more basic?
