Any remedy suggestions for a 2 year old, partially torn shoulder
rotator cuff before I have it surgically repaired? I initially used
ruta, rhus tox, arnica.

Hi Dr. Corbelletti,

Right shoulder, partial rotator cuff tear from fall on floor 2 years
ago. Initially, sharp cutting pain from shoulder to elbow on certain
movements. Told pain along upper arm is "referenced" from shoulder
tear. Physical therapy, electro stim heat. Have plateaued and told
only surgery to "clean up" area would fix this, but can be done
anytime.

Used arnica gel topically, rhus tox, ruta at 30C from reading Asa
Hershoff's homeopathy book, Musculoskeletal Healing. Arm has mostly
full range of motion and use. Just have constant low level
discomfort sensation, occasional feeling of fatigue in arm, sometimes
aches briefly. No specific time of day but more when arm resting,
better movement.

Thanks for any ideas.

Susan

Hi there,
This repertorization might give u some ideas. Arnica gel is not effevtive in my experience. The potencies u have been taken seem too low to me. I would rather start with 10 M.

Thank you for the repertorization. I'm not a pro, but thinking out loud:

Ruta scores the highest, but only all 1's and doesn't include rubric #6 which I think has highest importance since most pain/sensations are along upper arm not in shoulder.

One remedy is a constitutional I just took repeatedly at 200C for two months. Don't think it made much impact at that potency on this issue, but if I take it 10M, not sure how many messages I'd generate to this list over the few weeks of it's highly *intense* exhilarating action!

Ferr, as 2nd highest rubric score and highest in total rubric value, has two 3's: rubrics #3, while pain intense & stitching initially, now, not intense but sometimes stitching, and rubric #8 which I may consider of 3rd highest importance and also only remedy that includes rubric #6, more applicable.

Thuja as 3rd highest looks interesting as same total score as Ferr but doesn't include rubric #6 but does #7 which isn't as important. Plus, at 10M, it should cover some sycotic miasm issues that I have lingering.

Astrologically, Mercury retrograde began yesterday and I do well healthwise during this 3 week period being born under one. Would be a good time to try and treat this acutely.

I think Ferr is the one I should try. (any input from the coliseum audience?) While I would have to order it at higher potency, do20you think a test dose at 30C, which I can buy today, might have some effect? Since this is a 2 year old injury, is 10M needed more during initial injury?

Muchas gracias,

Susan

Just wanted to let you know I did take the remedy I chose from your repertorization. I took it at 200C since I expected to have constitutional reactions from it from what I read up on it. It did affect the shoulder/arm, first it initially dulled the discomfort and overall there is some improvement over the 2 weeks since taking, range of motion, sometimes less pain and weakness. Unfortunately, it acted like other constitutional remedies I have taken and I had to go through aggravations/ameliorations of my 2 miasmatic illnesses which are not pleasant. Generally, I have not felt that great since taking it except for the shoulder/arm. I may take it again at 200C or maybe try the 1M or 10M, not sure of it provides lasting effects. Can it actually repair tendons? Meanwhile, I took a dose of the previous constitutional that worked well before, now not as much. Maybe it doesn't follow well the other remedy.

What is your general opinion on having minimally invasive surgery for this partially torn rotator cuff? The conventional orthopedic MD's recommend it but don't seem to push it. Do these surgeries provide pain relief or introduce other problems? I realize any surgery with anesthesia poses a risk.

Thanks for your fantastic repping!

Susan

Hi Susan,
As long as the 200 ameliorates u stick to it.When it fails to improve go higher.

Indication for arthroscopic surgery depends on what the complaints and the MRI are like. Neither the homeopathic remedy nor the surgery will repair the tear but just take pain.
