Re: cat problem with back and stool

hi all,
once again i need some advice on my poor furball.
she had some episodes of seizure last friday and apparently
twisted her spine badly. she has not been able to move since.
at first there was such sensitivitiy all over her body. any place
on her back sent pain radiating if touched. she chose to just
lie pretty motionless.
i had to slightly lift her upper body so she could drink or eat.
her eating was minimal as it seemed to exhaust her to make
this effort. it was the same with water. she would drink but it
was clear that the effort was tiring.
with a bit of encouragement; ie, massage over the bladder
and ureter area she could pass urine. stool has been a
problem. yesterday she passed 3 little pieces over a few
hours of time. she is obviously needing to do this but cant
muster the muscle power to push.
i spoke with an animal communicator on saturday who confirmed
my perceptions that she had injured her back and was sufferring
from burning, electric like pain that radiated down her limbs. further,
she had pain from the occiput to mastoids, which also impacted
her comfort in eating.
i started her on hyper 200c on saturday. it definitely calmed the
nerve pain but seemed to work paliatively--up to 5-6 hours and then
she began to show pain/discomfort. after a couple of days with the
hyper 200c i added a dose of ars 30c since this remedy has a long
list of pain in different parts of the back as well as the burning pain.
she was beginning to get irritable when touched.
by tuesday afternoon she was much calmer and not as reactive
when being touched. however, it was clear that she was in discomfort
due to not being able to pass stool and i think that was impacting her
ability to pass urine. obviously this becomes a great concern.
i also actually used a bit of essential oil on the tips of her ears to
keep her relaxed.
i was able to get an appointment yesterday with a vet who does chiropractic work
on animals. i am just beginning to calm down from that experience. my cat
was very stressed by the trip over there--almost an hour in the car. he took
one look at the cat and said she had turned blue and wanted to immediately
euthanize her. so that was the first screw up on his part. he was looking at her
eye which is missing the lens and is an opaque bluish/white. she is blind and her
other eye's pupil is always dilated. if he had read his record on her from last
january, he would have noted that she was blind then. and if he stopped his
aggressive prejudgements, he would not have made that mistake. when i pushed back on him
about his perceptions he made an excuse about how he cares for animals. then
he jumped on the idea that this cat had failing organs. i told him i only wanted him
to check her back and do an adjustment. he actually refused unless i spent money
on a blood work up. he just had to have control. i finally agreed although i knew this
was useless. but she really needed an adjustment. when he came back with the
results, he was very surprised telling me that her organs were in good shape but
she had some infection in her system--someplace, maybe from a bad molar but
he still refused to adjust her back. he only wanted her on antibiotics and hospitalization
for several days. was he absolutely nuts? yes. i told him my finances were very
minimal right now but he didn't listen to anything i said. i was so angry. he would not
even examine her back to confirm the areas of problem he refused to talk with me
about problems to deal with due to this; ie, how to help her eliminate when she
couldn't hold herself up and push. he wanted me to give antibiotics at random.
to get him off the topic and try to get him focused on the back problem, i agreed to
take a written prescription that i would think about getting filled. he made up a bottle
and wanted to charge me $31 for it and i refused to take it. i am so angry that i
could drive back over there and tear up his arrogant face!!!!! i had to make an
issue about even getting a copy of the blood test results. his whole focus was so
classically allopathic--infection, drugs, hospitalization and big dollars for him. he
was absolutely demanding to be the sole authority. he must have called me
'dear' at least 3x before i told him i wasn't. pure classic patriarchal, sexist manipulation
designed to belittle me so he could be the only authority. sorry about the rant.
so here i am this morning looking at my poor furball. she is very calm. i am able
to pick her up without her reacting with great pain (there is still some pain, particularly
around the lower part of the spine. i can manipulate her front legs without pain and
if i put her in position she can hold her upper body in place to eat a bit before it gets
too tiring for her to hold herself up. i think the arsenicum has had a big effect on her
but am not sure about its long term healing effect on the spine. the hypericum seems
paliative but may have long term healing of any nerve damage from the seizures.
what i need is to figure out how to help unlock the twist in her cervical bones and
lower spine. the coccyx area seems tender. i think she also damaged the muscles
or ligaments in the legs close to the spine since there is pain when touched with
some pressure. she is able to contract her legs if i hold her up when she tries to
eliminate. so there does not seem to be paralysis, but just pain if she tries to
put pressure on them.
is it reasonable to create a loose stool to help clean her bowels? are there other
remedies or processes i can try to help straighten her spine. i do know homeopathy
is capable of correcting bone misalignments as this has happened to me and i have
been able to effect this with one other person. however, this situation seems more
extreme. advice/opinions definitely appreciated.
