this just came on the news...a reminder not to forget [or maybe to learn in
the first place] the importance of nutrition...

Brisbane scientists have made a world-first breakthrough in the study of
schizophrenia.

The group from the Wolston Park Hospital and Griffith University, are
investigating a possible link between the disorder and Vitamin D deficiency.

Vitamin D is created by the sun and research has shown more people with
schizophrenia are born in winter and spring.

Interesting!

A lot of West Indians living in UK are 'diagnosed' as suffering
schizophrenia.

Is the incidence the same in other dark skin races living in climates which
are not 'sunny'?

Well, there are many West Indians living in Canada, where it is dark and cold most of the year--but no high rate of diagnosis for schizophrenia! Seems like science is showing its bias again, I'm afraid.

Hi Soroush,

I've worked for a number of years now with people diagnosed as
having "mental illnesses". I can assure you that most of this comes from
nutritional deficits and environmental toxins, including those in food.
However, simply increasing Vit D does not truly address the problem.
You'll see an improvement in peoplediagnosed as having schizophrenia when
almost any nutrient is supplemented. This indicates the severity of the
deficits.

Fresh, clean food with no chemicals, clean water, full spectrum vitamins
and minerals, a hefty does of n-3s in the form of fish oil, a pH balanced
diet,
and a source of MCT will clear up the hallucinations and delusions of the
majority of people. This works for other so-called "mental illnesses" as
well.

The most difficult part for people is the withdrawal from medication, and
the left over damage from the medications. Homeopathy helps
with this.

Regards,
Catherine

Homeopathy may also help directly to alleviate nutritional deficiencies
which may be based in poor assimilation...

Schizophrenia is chronic ,miasmatic illnes How substitution of vitamin D or
any good nutrition can cure ? At best if at all ,can be palliated.
If some body get treated by homoeopathy initially ,can get cured. If some
body is on allopathic medicines already, with drawal and treatment both are
difficult due to severe aggravations.
