Sorry for the blank post...I'm afraid try as I might, I can't see to be able to trim the original so I've deleted it!
I didn't think that anyone suggested that they didn't have weaknesses...I pointed out how few cases I have and consequently my ability to take my time...which I often need!
It depends on the case, sometimes it's glaring at me and I have no difficulty in seeing the remedy, but often, with animals, constitutional prescribing is difficult, we have missing histories (ie. through rescue ), there is limited communication, awkward interpretation by the owner (parent similarity I suspect), and often getting the appropriate rubrics is tricky.
I find that going through my books often gives me thoughts about the rubrics that I might not have considered before...motivation for animal behaviour, in particular odd ones, is a minefield.
I totally see your point about the other applications of the programmes, and I expect I will get there one day...and your points do make it more attractive than I had hitherto considered it.
I too have lucked out and have an astonishing classical homeopath to mentor me, but we do it informally and so I try not to use her time unnecessarily, only when I have a dilemma or some unclear thinking going on ....she always manages to give me hints in the right direction rather than helping me solve the question per se, and that's a great way to push me in the right direction, but then I guess I never plan to be a practising homeopath, and for me this is the best way to learn...my biggest weakness is my poor acceptance of the formal method of training....but I would never have got as far as I have without her help, and I accept my limitations....it just isn't my road.
And anyone that thinks they know everything... knows nothing IMO...a little self doubt makes us stronger and more human I think!

Hi Mary,

I think if you were blessed by a wonderful tutor, homeopathy must have something for you. Difficulty means you are stepping up to the place. If it were easy, you gotta wonder. I have a lot of feelings about education and it makes me hard to educate. But it also makes me persistent in developing my own path. When you have your own backbone, it is hard to fit into every standard system. That's my take.
