Hi Tanya, List,
Interesting.
Could you tell a bit more **specifically** how this derives from the
codex?
without that initiative which gives such power to the
Well, in Germany at least they are in the business of making vitamins
etc. themselves.
the
Any examples of what supplements available in the USA we do not have
in Germany?
Well, I don't remember anything like that - anyway, on googling I
found:
http://www.evitamins.com/searchpagenew. ... d=Thiamine
Twinlab B1 tabs **100** mg, 100 caps $ 7.99
in Germany
Rationpharm B1 **200** mg 100 tabs. Eu 8.69.
I could not find anything exactly corresponding.
With the price you have to remember that the exchange rate of the Eu.
has been like this only for a very few years. Not too long ago Eu. 1
was e. g. like $ US 1. This has nothing to do with the codex.
I am not trying to defend the codex. I know far too little about it to
take sides.
But in order to convince me and other so far impartial people resp.
those who do not know about it, facts should be left as facts. What
your acquaintances in Germany told you does not appear to be fact, as
far as I could find out.
I also read on a German site of adversaries to the codex that Vit C
can no longer be got as tablets above 200 mgs (I think it was) at
reasonable price . This is probably true, but it is not the whole
truth. Vit C can be had as powder (ascorbic acid) at very low price -
and of the powder you can obviously take as much as you want.
This kind of arguing IMO hurts the cause!
Anyway, my point is:
A nation having but a small and not very strongly equipped army should
find out where the aggressions happen and fight there.
Likewise, a small and not very strong group should take the utmost
care to find out where it should fight. So far, from a European point
of view, the codex has not been hurting where it has been in force. So
far it does not seem that our adversaries are are using IT - they are
using many other approaches.
E. g. the Nosode issue. In most European countries it is too late to
fight - the matter has been snuck in while people have fought against
the codex. In the UK the same thing could happen. Therre it may not
yet be too late to fight the implementation of the European rules -
but I hear of no-one taking the matter up.
The tendency in Europe goes in the direction that only MD's may either
practice homeopathy or that only they may prescribe higher potencies
(as it has been in France). This would mean the end to most
classical homeopaths and probably reduce classical homeopathy to an
insignificant apppendix of "Complimentary Alternative Medicine".
No-one bats an eyelash.
In the UK it seems that the adversaries focus on homeopathy being
potentially dangerous. The classicals keep backing up this argument
by:
Claiming that we do not need "allopathic medicine", which can be taken
to mean that we fail to send patients to the MDs where necessary. This
is a very serious charge, indeed, and should be argued against again
and again.
Claiming that vaccinations are unnecessary because there are no
pathogens. This agains suggests that we try and influence our patients
against vaccination by using nonsense arguments, instead of showing
them the pros and cons.
Claiming that homeopathic remedies can be very dangerous if not
prescribed by a specific method, those methods being at great variance
to another.
Thus, in the UK there are 4 very dangerous issues that homeopaths
should use their force against. Those issues are of very acute
significance - the codex is not.
I have above concentrated on the UK because both I and the other list
members know something about. In Germany the issues are similar.
In the other countries homeopaths should give the matter a lot of
thoughts in order to where the enemy has been striking and is
liable to strike next!
Regards
Luise
